Although not my favourite in the Battlefield series I did enjoy the single player campaign. Definitely worth $3.49.

        Those are rookie numbers, i have about 3k hours of Battlefield 4 admittedly i got a bit addicted lol. It was the only game i played for a few years.

    The Anti-cheat in this game is very old BTW, and a quick search on Youtube shows cheat vendors promoting their hacks quite openly. This one video was uploaded just 2 months ago.

    For $3.49 I'd say it's okay if you just want to play the SP campaign but the MP experience is frustrating to say the least.

      This is a good way drive away dedicated players. Not that I play much multiplayer these days, but it's still infuriating to watch these videos. I would, however, recommend the single player campaign.

          It has 6k daily average players on steamchatt though.

          Although I have not checked the server browser for AU servers.

      The admins for the Australian servers that still run are active and are generally quick to investigate and act on reports of hackers.

      Asian servers are mostly a write-off.

      There's usually at least 2 servers running with full capacity during late afternoon to nightime. Good luck trying to find a match in the morning though.

      Kema's servers are shut down, but AUS2024 has a server running 24/7 (view his profile, then join the game), there's always a conquest game running with half to full players. I get my daily BF fix that way.

    Game still holds up today, and is still running today. Music, sound effects, gunplay, physics, level destruction.. to me this is peak BF. Sadly, lightning in a bottle it seems as they can't seem to recreate it, or start off using it as a template.

    I must say they put a tonne of effort into this game and shows.
    To bad they went the other way with bf5 and the recent disaster of a bf title.

    I just want another Battlefield game with a good EOD bot, there hasn't been one since BF4.

    24/7 Operation Locker, I'd lay prone next to a friendly ammo pack and constantly deploy my EOD bot to infiltrate the enemy and nibble on shins. If the enemy managed to move up, I'd park one in a dark corner, retreat, wait until the enemy was established then reconnect to it and nibble from the backlines. Was incredibly effective, and my K/D ratio is ridiculously skewed because of it (your EOD bot blowing up doesn't count as a death).

    Absolutely degenerate, but it was funny watching people slowly realise the threat it posed and starting to react to it like it was a funnel web spider.

          I bought this and installed it through steam . When I start it , it just comes up with " Something went wrong…" after it launches the EA App .
          Tried uninstalling the EA App but that doesn't even work . Try starting it in EA and it tells me the wrong version is installed .
          I've avoided EA for 10 years because it was crap then and looks like nothing has changed .

      The Vietnam edition would be Battlefield Bad Company 2? There's no Vietnam content in Battlefield 1 as it's focused on WW1.

    Currently $6 on PlayStation store. Was thinking about getting it on PC but the thought of cheaters swayed me towards console. Single Aussie server full every evening, having a blast.

      Good move, the anti-cheat for PC doesn't get updated anymore so there's tons of cheaters all over it these days. PS5/XBSX would be the way to go for it.
