Cheaper on your own ebay listing?

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/176433451819

    • lol they ended the listing.

This listing was ended by the seller on Wed, 26 Jun at 1:31 PM because the item is no longer available.

Hi @incipient and @freefall101! We've flagged with the team to review this!

While the ebay listing had the incorrect shipping due to the weight as outlined in our shipping policy - we can see how this confusion is pretty frustrating!

We've adjusted this on our own website - you can get this with $9 shipping now! :)

Thanks for bringing it to our attention!

What makes this worth $149 RRP

    • Exactly, Selling $19 at catch by same company and $2x at victoria's basement… and a quick google search you see most places sell it for between $20-$40…. the RRP listed here is very misleading

      • Hi @muddrex - the Catch listing is sold by us :)

      • I would say the $19 price is great as it is indeed cheaper than other places selling the same thing, but the misleading RRP is definitely a major turnoff.

        • +1

@muddrex the RRP is provided to us from our supplier! We've double checked this with our team as well to ensure we are providing the correct comparison price. We can see Victoria's Basement also has it listed as RRP of $149.95 :)

Hopefully that clears it up - we aim to provide full transparency of our products and the savings customers can get in collaboration with our suppliers and partnering retailers!

    • Worth and rrp have nothing in common. I can make a plain sandwich and put an rrp of $99 on it, reduce the price to $10 and while ripping people off pretend that it's a bargain

Hi @schwifty! Thank you for reaching out with your question about our pricing! Our products are sourced from retailers who have dormant stock, which includes items from previous seasons, overstock, or products that have been discontinued from their core range for example. These items might otherwise go unused or, worse, end up in landfill.

The RRP you see reflects the original pricing set by the manufacturer or retailer. However, through our surprise chain model, we aim to give these products a second life in a sustainable way, allowing us to offer them to you at more affordable prices. This approach not only helps prevent waste but also provides our customers with quality goods at lower costs. Hope that explains it! Let us know if you have more questions :)

      • surprise chain model,

So you're not guaranteed to get what you order?¿

        • @randomusername2017 No - but we can see how it might sound like that! Rather than a "supply chain" with regular, consistent products and stock, we have a surprise chain which brings in a wide range of unique products from our suppliers, retailers and projects. The surprise aspect is that we never know what might come in stock - such as these great roasting pans! We might get a great range of refurbished tech one day, and get some stylish shoes the next.

  • I bought a different version but same brand off amazon for $40, it's been fine. Cooked a few turkeys in it so far, easy to clean, no issues with the non-stick. For $19 it's a decent price for anyone who cooks a large bird and wants crisp skin underneath.

  • Signed up for free shipping on the website, now getting message "discount code isn’t valid for the items in your cart" even though over $50

    Weird

    • Hey @Homerlovesbeer - could you please send us a message with what you're ordering? That's very strange!

  • If anyone does want to order this - it's worth the $30. The base is flimsy and handles definitely on the cheap. the $150 RRP is a joke.

I don't entirely trust how well the non-stick is made either, but seeing as there is minimal contact with food, it's decent for the price.
