Is anybody using Spintel NBN 25/8 connection? Just switched to this provider due to a decent, $49/month for 6 months, deal. Holy shit, the speed is atrocious! Is anyone else having the same issue with speed in Sydney?
Edit: Last night the speed was really bad. Speedtest results were 1.5 mbps download and 7.8 mbps upload. Things seem to have improved now. It is 23.8 mbps download and 8.5 mbps upload.

I saw someone on whirlpool getting 250/80 on their spintel 25/8 plan so it's probably just you.
I think someone is talking in manure language… probably not you..
That post was edited..turns out those speeds were from router to basement.
Why not call the technical team first?

Probably reboot the modem and or nbn box if you have one.
Contact them and miraculously your speed improves. They told me the other week it was because so many other users in my street were using the internet. Is thst a thing?
Yeah I recently changed my provider to spintel and suddenly I'm getting lags/buffering for live streaming videos at night. The curious thing is, it goes away if I use VPN so I'm using VPN all the time now.
Also my speedtest result is faultless so I'm thinking it's not the raw speed problem.
Exactly the same issue I have. Streams keep buffering while the speed test shows good speed. I'll try the VPN trick. Hopefully, it works.
Keep in mind that Spintel only has one point of presence, which is in Sydney, so you get what you pay for in terms of performance at this price. There's always a catch when providers offer much cheaper internet compared to others; it's either a lack of redundancy in the network or poor customer support. If these factors matter to you, then you may need to look at more reliable providers.
Yeah, this was a mistake. I tried to contact their customer support through the chat function. Did not receive a response in an hour. So switched to another provider straight after. Absolute dog shit service. Never again.
Well it is 25/8 I guess!
