Basically what I have been waiting for a GotY edition for cheap - thanks OP.

  • Make sure you find Gods & Kings somewhere cheap as well - no use playing ciV without it.

  • Cheers OP. Been waiting for this to go on special again.

  • Are the keys working? The reviews seem to state Amazon are distributing activated keys.

    • Bought this and Gods and Kings and both added fine to Steam.

  • Gods and Kings is $7.50 for Mac too. Great deal if those keys work in steam too.

    • Yes the key also works in Steam, so you can get it for PC.

      • I just bought it and installed it on pc and it is now downloading the 975MB expansion

      • I bought both items and just recieved this from Amazon:

Your recent order 123-456789-8765432 entitles you to a promotional credit which we have added to your account.
It is our pleasure to let you know that you have earned a $5 credit toward the purchase of select game downloads starting 1/1/2013 and good through 1/31/2012.

        anyone else?

        • I have got a fair few of them now, the 1st one came through 16 November. hopefully the sale is worth it when it hits in January.

        • Did your Civ5 key work?

        • my kings and gods Mac key activated on steam and works on my PC. I had civ 5 already.

Now if only we didn't need a supercomputer to play a long game with everything on max :) Great game though and good deal.

Is it that taxing? I could play it with integrated graphics on high settings (though my PC did blue-screen a couple of times during a marathon game)

      • my older i5, 570gtx box struggled with frame rate on high settings when the game got 200+ rounds in.

  • Watch this before you buy…
You may end up in rehab…

  • Downloaded, activated on Steam with no problems. Thanks!

  • I tried changing my amazon email address, but no success. Would anyone be able to guess what I'm doing wrong?

    • the one for the deal is CIV V + all the DLC (other than Gods and Kings) which is the game + around $30 worth of DLC. The one you have linked is the base game itself. If you dont want to play the DLC ever, then I can see saving $5 may be worth it. But not better.
