Thanks JV,
Was actually thinking based off title, $39.99 for an Anker product in exactly the form factor I was chasing, well I'm interested!
Not anymore after those reviews.… they can only get it up to 40%-60%
Very common problem, there is a pill for that.
Anko themed product
Plenty suggesting they're getting close to 100% as well though.
I wonder if people are actively using their phone (heavily) whilst it's charging - and therefore reducing it's ability to get to near 100%. 40% seems low regardless but just a thought.
I've ordered one anyway, the formfactor is perfect for a night out or at airports when I don't want to pull out the larger powerbanks etc.
I don't know about the formfactor being right, because the first thing that goes through my mind for these "attachable" pb weights is "how quickly would the phone's USB-C port get stuffed up?" Sure if you plug it in and leave your phone motionless laying on the table to charge, the force on the port would be negligible, but if ur gonna be handling your phone?
Yup definitely something to keep in mind. Think it will be ok even if you handle the device, just as long as you're aware.
Was a review in there 6%-80%, must be based on how crap the new device is. However it only says all day power, doesn't mention whether that's including your own phones battery, but I guess they throw in an image of iPhone 15 Pro Max 56%
How is this news? The real capacity of any power bank is always lower, around 2/3 of the rated capacity. With that in mind a 5000mah powerbank charging a typical 5000mah phone till 60% sounds just about right.
How is this news?
I didn't post it in the news forum, it is a comment about this deal…
This might be pretty good as a battery extender for something like the Oculus Quest VR headsets.
Common sense in real world? Battery charge efficiency is NOT 100%.
People still believe perpetual motion machine in 2024??
Some of the reviews state they can only get it up to 40%-60%
