  • How do these compare to a 4070 laptop for gaming?

  • Just brought one. Any brand of SSD I should look out for? If I were to upgrade the SSD?

    • Sabrent, WD, Samsung, Corsair, Silicon Power.

I've used both WD and Samsung. Both have been great.

      • Great! Which WD and Samsung Model you used?

I just brought a micro sd card and see how I go with it.

        • Samsung pm991a 1tb
          WD sn740 2tb

NVMe's perform better and are cheaper than MicroSD cards.

  • very tempting…. I'm keen on using my steam deck mainly as a steam link device as I mostly play AAA titles. I was consider OLED for the screen and the Wifi6E (home infra getting there). For those of you who uses Steam Link a lot on the Steam Deck, is it a good experience on the LCD Steam Deck?

  • Apparently I've already used this code, DAMN!

  • +1

    can't resist

For this price, knowing you can chuck an SD card in and run most titles, and with minimal fuss swap the SSD…

Unless you're craving an OLED deck…hard price to walk away from!

I managed to convince myself for 48 hours that I didnโ€™t need this and then caved. Damn you ozbargain!

  • price showing as AU $583.19 any help?

    • The price on the listing has increased, so the deal is over / more expensive now.

      • +1

ehh I'll wait for another deal - curse of the ozbargainer

  • +3

Base price has jumped to $728.99 but I can't resist.
    Bought for $583.19.
    Still a bargain me thinks.

I didn't buy out of spite lmao

    • +1

Agree itโ€™s still a great price.

Just running this with a 512Gb microsd (EVO Select) that I had lying around.

Damn this thing is awesome! Especially for someone like me who: plays mostly smaller and less intensive indies, doesnt have a proper PC (was trying to play games on a first gen ultrabook - like, I think the very first ultrabook ever, or one of!), and has a sizeable Steam catalogue I've mostly never played! (Haven't even messed with trying to get Epic launcher on it yet, for all those freebies over the years that I've never been able to play! Or EmuDeck!)

Damn… kicking myself I didn't get one sooner!

  • Just got the steam deck delivered but can't update it during initial setup. It just says failed update and then loses wifi connection. Have tried restarting multiple times
