Adding the card to the app grants access. For challenges you need to activate them and fulfill the conditions, for bonus cashback you need to pay with the linked card (usually in full, some stores allow partial GC payment).
In the App
tap Account (bottom right)
scroll down & tap Linked Payment methods
tap Add a credit or debit card securityenter your StG card details.
then you can activate any bonuses, find & as usual tap theu SB to the store and pay using your St G card.
it seems pretty reliable.

I am on Cashback website, Is it under profile -> Manage Payment method -> Payment method?
In the app it's under "Lifetime earnings" in the Home tab, but yes can also be found in Earn More. Don't think it's on the website.
