      no it is not. Employers are NOT required to accept online medical certs and can require either your stat dec or an in person appointment with a doc. some of this depends on your place of work and employment conditions.

          Also the fairwork is very vague on it, basically it is up to the employer and the agreement as to what they will accept as proof.

  Need more of this type of online/tele options for basic medical services, such as medical certificates, repeated scripts, and certain pain relief meds.

  It's crazy to waste time travelling when you are unwell, wait in enclosed space spreading the sickness, causing long wait times for other people, stressing out the GPs, all while draining the medicare, for such simple request.

  I usually only average 3 sick days a year. So my work knows when I'm sick, I'M SICK. That said I used up nearly 5 weeks worth of sick leave last year due to a bad run of illness through winter.

  The good thing is that I still have nearly 12 weeks to use - good if I ever break an arm or leg!!

  Yeah for genuine headache but going to gp wasting time waiting is bad. Booking time always not reliable gp never made it
