Not surprised it's discounted this hard, it's a pretty useless set. Anyone interested in multiple skin tone colours for shading would have graduated from crayons to a better medium like pencils, paints, or brush markers long ago.

One thing you can use crayons for is to add pigment to salt in order to make decorative sand. I guess this pack would make a nice range of sandy colours?

    • Selling off the excess stock from 1992 when they first started selling them

I like how they went to the bother of updating the packaging to the current design and putting fresh crayons in the box

    • +2

      Also, pencils

      • +1

Now that's a more useful set, and the reviews say they layer well for blending which means they are good for shading, and you could mix the colours to make even more colour tones.

    • Go outside

      • +2

I guess if you're making decorative sand with crayons you'll want to do that outside because it's messy, but wouldn't you risk the salt blowing away?

    • I do think it’s a bit of a useless set for young children, they don’t seem to find it helpful to separate different skin colours.

      • +1

I think a much smaller set of skintones with some hair colour shades to go with them would've been a better set idea personally, for this medium at least. Little kids are more into vibrantly coloured scribbles and block colour rather than subtle colour variations, shading and gradients which is what this colour palette is suited for. It's important to keep target audience in mind when designing things.

  • No Zaire colour

  • Order 5, paid zero dollar, Idk how it works, but meh it's free.

Nice. Maybe you had $5 credit? Thanks for letting me know that it's not expired.

    Perfect for drawing 💩

I don't shade the skin when drawing on white A4 paper.

These are a cheap alternative to buying scratch remover crayons for timber furniture and floors.

The "diversity" colours incidentally cover pretty much the entire natural timber colour range.

      Excellent life hack.

    • also useful for lower gastrointestinal surgeons to provide their reports with accurate colours

  • I refreshed several times, had to follow link using a private window before I could order it. Odd.

Its an Amazon bug for those of us with non metro addresses.

Can confirm I see temp out of stock when signed in with my address but when I change this to a metro postcode when signed in or add to cart then sign in it allows me to go to checkout.

Haha check the names of the colours on the side of the box… gave my medium almond ass a chuckle

  • +1

    extra light almond power!

  • Can anyone share reviews?

  • Thanks, was hungry
