  • Is Jim's (almost) as good as Geronimo?

    • Completely different IMO. Jims is very 'plastic' in texture for lack of a better word…

      • Sounds yummy :)

      • +1

i assume by plastic you mean similar to jack links?

        • +1

It's a softer, moister texture than Geronimo, and the flavours are far more subtle. Still way better than jacks links, that stuff is awful.

        • agreed, terrible, have you tried jim's "bloody hot"?

        • Nowhere near as good as Geronimo's jerky.

I just bought 9x200g from Geronimo a couple of days ago for $150 with free postage from this deal- http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/83500 (I bought three lots of that deal and I guess you get free postage if spend over $150?)

It's still more expensive than jim's jerky but worth the extra money imho.

        • From the Geronimo deal: "That's $16 each, or 30% off or 600g for $50 or buy two & get the third for $2!"

Shouldn't it have been $102 then?

        • Thats exactly what I thought when I first seen the deal, but I ended up working it out- they were talking about their regular price of $24.00 for 200g. So $24.00x2=$48….

I ended up removing my comment on that thread because I thought I was an idiot lol but I guess I'm not the only one ^_^

Damn it! Was too quick to order and didn't realize that today is the 21st. Emailed them to ask for the free bag or maybe cancel my order and re-purchase in 3 days. Since I'm a first time customer I'm hoping they will be lenient. :(

    • +3

Awesome. Just received a response that they will still include the free bag. :)

  • dont know why been jerky cost soo bloody much

    • +7

It's because it takes around 3-4kg of wet beef to make 1kg of dried jerky.

  • Would you guys rate Jim's Jerky above or below Bull Bar?
