Got the free one the other day. Very underwhelmed. Would not pay for one. Very little flavour.

Quality has gone down hill big time lately in my opinion. It was really good initially but I don't find the quality to be good anymore. Recently they got listed on the ASX as well and business wise they are growing very fast locally and doing well in the US.
Do you know any great alternative?
You're right, I stopped going there due to quality and quantity. Even if somone asks, I don't let them get it lol
I liked their food previously. Since my last few orders, I found the quality to be very average / sub par. The other alternatives are Taco Bell, Zambrero, Mad Max etc. Guzman Y Gomez was my favourite of all in the past but not anymore.

Probably if the quality is not improved. One of their executive said that they intend to open around 1,000 stores in Australia in the next decade, I don't think the market is that big in Australia to accommodate that number of stores. Let's see how the future holds out for them.
An extra 1000 stores is a total joke. A single Chipotle in Australia would bring the whole GYG business down
That’s a pipe dream. Maccas took 40 years to get to that number. GYG hasn’t been around even 20 years and is under 200 stores strong.

With 36% rise on IPO day this is the kind of crap deal they can do? Give me a break. Chipotle and hole in the wall type places in LA are way better than GyG. Not to mention the portions are getting smaller than ever.
