Get 18% off Electricity + $120 Credit on Your First Bill [VIC ONLY]

20

As much as I hate OBS the price for electricity after the discount in my area is 19.6 c/kWh EX Gst which isn't too bad. It doesn't work out to be cheaper than my electricity but it's more competitive then the average company.

The termination fees are VERY steep but they sort of con you by giving a nice fat $120 credit and then adding that to the termination fee.

2 Year Contract

Early Termination Fee:
1st Year:
Electricity - $150 inc GST
2nd Year:
Electricity - $85 inc GST

    • They are just comparison sites but this is a group deal. Did you find cheaper prices for residential?

  • I recently received 24% off through Origin in Sydney

    • But the base prices in Sydney are huge. :P My grandparents in Sydney pay like 50 cents/kWh peak before any discounts.

I only pay 26.84c/kw for the first 1000kw or so then 28.05c/kw for the next 1000kw but i have a single tarrif system. I'm not going to let them move me to a "smart" system. So i don't get cheaper power when i'm sleeping..

I'm with AGL who work out roughly the same if you pay on time direct debit and a slightly cheaper service charge at 83.57c exGST.

After watching this; http://www.abc.net.au/mediawatch/transcripts/s3546947.htm I don't like the way OBS operates and would never consider signing up with them.

    • Likewise - OBS = complete lack of interest.

  • Queensland electricity prices are shocking.
