  • ok deal for what it is

obviously there's a lot less than $1,800 worth of parts… closer to $1,200 maybe?

but you're paying for the name and service

  • Bloody oath! Talk about premium pricing. I also don't see any deals in that page that are particularly attractive, then again Dell is usually fairly expensive to begin with.

What do you intend to use it for? If it's purely for gaming I think you can drop that Core i7, since the video card is the main bottleneck anyway.

  • Massive rip. Its worth no more than $1100, and is completely retarded in terms of specs - you don't need an i7, a 660 is meh, a 670/80 is way better, and I guarantee the PSU is a piece of crap. RIP. Avoid. Build it yourself.

  • so easy to put a pc together

For $1100-1200 you can put together a good 1080p gaming pc

If your just gonna browse/facebook/pron this is way overkill.

    $330 for the cpy
$120 for entry level mobo, $220 for good sli/overclockable one
    $95 ram
    $170-$200 for a decent ssd
    $79 for 2tb hdd
GTX 660, not that great, 7850/7870 is better value in this price range
optical drive, redundant, but $59 if you want one to use it once a year
PSU $75 for like an antec 650w
case, depends what you want, budget anything from $30 for crap to $120 for entry level nice.
windows 8? Just use the $0 windows 7 until something better comes along

Hardest thing about building a pc you can just google/youtube (probably installing the cpu so you dont bend pins and front in/out which isnt hard, just means you need to open the instructions and read it.

  • +1

its an XPS… world famous gaming desktop

they also come to your house for any repair

    you pay for that

    i personally wouldnt

  • i got the above specs all exactly the same except 8 gigs of ram instead of 12 for $1199 from Dell with the -$400 off discount a couple of days ago
