Any reviews on this TV? I am tempted to buy as a spare TV for kids. 5 year warranty sounds nice.

    • I've had a CHiQ 50" TV for about 5.5 years now. First unit had some dead pixels and was replaced the retailer. Second TV has been alright, although for the last year or two it freezes sometimes when first turning on, so you have to wait a minute or so for it to turn off and then turn it on again.

Operating system pretty crappy on mine, but I just use a Fire Stick anyway so it doesn't matter.

So in summary probably its a budget TV and don't have expectations for it. I am contemplating buying this 65" one as wife wants a second TV now.

      • I have the same Fire stick with VPN and works perfectly for me. Spare TV with 5 yrs warranty cant go wrong. if it works 5 years for me that is more than enough for a 65 inch TV @ $681

        • Thanks mate. Bought it from my deals for $678, topcashback tracked $40 Cashback

      • I ended up buying a 65" Hisense instead as HN have 15% off TVs (excluding Chiq) this weekend which brought the price down to $827 and the picture quality of the Highsense was far better.

My wife and I found that the Chiq 55" and 65" panels on display were crap picture quality with a white washed out image and poor definition. You might not notice it outside of the store where it's obvious next to the better TVs, but in anycase my wife and I thought the Highsense was worth the extra.

The 75" Chiq on display $900ish had decent picture quality and must be a different panel to the smaller models but is too big for what we wanted.

Chiq is Changhong . It is the biggest TV manufacturer in China, if I'm not mistaken. It has been around since 1958

OP "At it's best" and "Great quality" are a bit of stretch don't you think?
