  I'd highly recommend people check Amazon for things like Anime figures. Now that Amazon JP ships through the AU site, we no longer have to deal with the ridiculous price gouging that Australian companies try to (profanity) us over with.

  RRP for FREEing bunnies is like 30,000JPY (like $285 AUD) and retailers here are trying to scam us out of $800. Nah bro.

    Not that I buy figurines etc but yeah Australian distributors for Japanese goods are basically a Mafia style business.

    I used to buy Japanese hiking gear direct from the manufacturer until some jerk in NSW got import rights and prices tripled or worse.

    Pure greed.

    You can still import direct to NZ so it's actually cheaper for me to line up things I want, send them to NZ and fly over to get them.

    Ridiculous

        Sleeping bags, glove, cooking gear (titanium), food stuffs etc

        Lots of Snow Peak stuff used to be direct import-able.

        Now it's all insane markups.

        I bought a lot while I was in Japan a few years ago.
        Insane quality at a reasonable price.

      You can search for a particular item, or Brand etc and in the top left you can usually select "Prime - International Shipping" and that'll leave you with Amazon Japan/UK/US.

      If you search Good Smile Company or Taito or whatever and click that button - most results will be Amazon Japan selling it. Go into the product listing and it'll say who it's shipped by.
