Tick are usually the cheapest (compared to BudgetDirect, TID, AusPost, 1Cover, Covermore etc.) and with the 15% off code, they're even cheaper!

4.0/5 stars on ProductReview. I have used them in 2016 (didn't need to claim anything) and have just purchased travel insurance for our Europe trip in August.

Hope this is useful for people trying to get away from the cold weather!

    Prompt response to claim.

    • Thanks for letting us know. Just bought a policy for my 76 year old mum who's traveling to Bali.

  • Do they cover current travel to Israel/Middle east (not war zone)

  • F**kers didn't pay out for flights cancelled when Virgin went into administration.

You don't need insurance for that. Always pay on a credit card and if that happens can submit a chargeback claim.. Bank will usually refund the amount. This was the case with Bonza Air when they went down the toilet.. funds refunded no questions asked.

      • Agreed. Always pay for flights on CC so a reversal/charge back is possible in such an event.

  • You may encounter issues submitting your form when using Safari on macOS Sonoma, even with content blockers turned off. Might want to consider using Chrome instead.

  • I just used them last month, but I could not access my documents eg. Certificate of Insurance (they just sent a link that didn't work). It took 5 weeks and several messages to finally get a response. I would not recommend based on their poor response time, even though they were the cheapest and I didn't need to claim.

  • Where on their website is the coupon applied?

    • It's at the page where you have to select the age of the travellers

  • Wow… I add asthma as a condition, no issues in the last years… but hey, $37 on top of the premium.

  • Strangely their top cover doesn't cover natural disasters, which seems a bit dodgy.

    • It's excluded by default but it asks if you want to add it, I just bought a policy for an upcoming trip to Thailand.

Tick also allow you to declare pre-existing conditions which many others don't

Thanks! Went for the top option that was still cheaper than Bupa/NRMA (I am a customer of both).

  • Can sign up, getting errors for data transfer.
