Use this on a Windows gaming PC and they're great.

Nope. Get the 8bitdo ultimate with hall effect. Way better for the same price.

  • Great deal

For those wanting a less expensive option then grab a datafrog from aliexpress for ~$30 delivered

  • Damn, I bought each separately and came to over $90 even with discounts.

  • +1

bought it from previous deal and I love it it is better than the Bluetooth connection

  • Does this work with adapter and BT? Or adapter only? Would the other version (BT one) work with this adapter too?

    • +2

Yes it’s the same current gen wireless controller that you can buy separately in different colours just in a bundle package and only in black.

You can use it with Bluetooth or connect it using the wireless adapter.

You can use other current gen wireless controllers with this adapter.

Don't bother with bt for this controller. Constant connection issues. Get the 8bitdo ultimate. No drift

  • Is latency improved with the dongle? I have a weird input latency issue with Xbox controller when streaming with sunshine/moonlight

    • +2

Yes the latency is improved with the wireless dongle over Bluetooth.

If streaming, it may not be related to the controller though. Could potentially be your network too.

Sh$t doesn't beat xbox controllers sorry, you pay for what you get.

What is the reason behind Xbox controllers always being more expensive then PS5 controllers, even on sale?
PS5 controller has haptic trigger feedback and touchpad which the xbox controller lacks so one would assume the ps5 controller would cost more.

    • +3

I'm not sure what source you are using. The RRP of the Xbox controller is $89.95, whereas the RRP of the PlayStation 5 controller is $109.95 according to EB games

      • You can get PS5 controllers in the $60 range on sale

        • +2

Xbox controller without the adaptor go for about that on sale too, the adaptor is just for PC connection beyond Bluetooth

    • PS5 controller also has gyro.

  • In my history of gaming since the nes, overall imo this is the best gaming controller of all.

  • just need to buy the official xbox rechargeable battery with it 82 +29 = 111 not to bad :D

    • +1

any battery is fine the ikea rechargeable battery is much cheaper

      • I only buy official xbox accessories made by Microsoft, and the best thing with the official battery is you can just plug in the usb c port and it just chargers like any normal controller.

  • Has anyone used one of these to play games from PC using nvidia shield and nvidia game stream?

    • I don't know the answer for sure but my understanding is that the dongle is only for use with the windows operating system.

      • +1

        Linux gamer that uses this.
        Incorrect.

        @benjor can't get a clear answer online.
At the very least you would want to plug it up to a windows PC to update the firmware on the controller.

Then from there it might be a lot of mucking around with third party tools

  • Does this also come with USB C cable?

  • is there a link for the official wireless adaptor only? I have the controller already

    • They only sell it with this combo now. Hence why I currently have the controller up on Facebook marketplace!

Any others you see for sale on Amazon, eBay etc are counterfeit.

        • ALL of them that you see sold individually are counterfeit. Microsoft don't sell them individually anymore and haven't for some time.

Also look at the seller, selling that. Do they seem like they would sell a genuine one? The only companies that would sell genuine are brick and mortar retailers like EB games, JB Hi-fi, Big W etc. They all sold out a long time ago and Microsoft stopped selling them separately.

          • @drinkin-beer: I see, thanks for the reply.
Either way I use the controller with my PC for causal single player games so latency is not a big deal, with FPS games I use a mouse and keyboard
