ANZ Credit Card -- CRN, Telecode, Account Help

I recently got an ANZ credit card and used it to book some hotels and buy some stuff.
All international payments worked fine (Booked a hotel for this week via booking.com), but payments to domestic services won't work.

Now here is where I messed up… I didn't realise I don't know my ANZ account CRN, Telecode or w/e ANZ requires to login into their ANZ app. Called up their customer support team but they were of no help. I have to go to their branch which closes at 4pm, but I clock off at 5.
I always heard their process was awful, but didn't understand how bad it was til I experienced it myself.

Did the payment to booking.com really work? (I got the hotel for a decent rate that has now jacked up today…)
And does anyone know any alternatives that I could do (or how I can figure out what my CRN + Telecode is by myself).

OH NO, THE BANKS ARE NOT OPEN WHEN I WANT THEM TO BE OPEN.

        • To be fair if banks are making massive profits they could at least keep their branches open until 6 pm instead of pocketing the difference so c-suite can buy their 17th investment property.

  • Years ago I called ANZ, provided the satisfactory over the phone ID requirements and then they just told me.

Go to internet banking and click "register".

    Then click "Try another way"

    It's pretty straight forward.

What did they say when you called them?

They'll just do a security check, get your account details up and tell you your CRN

    easy.

  • Yep had the same issue. ANZ app required set up with CRN which was not provided by email or paper. When you call customer care there's also no way of getting the CRN. I had to go to a branch and get my CRN in person (inconvenient but very quick process overall)

  • You should be able to call them. ANZ is bad. They have all this security but my credit card was stolen from my letter box and pin too ( which they should not send at the same time). Then Over the phone they some how activated it. Any way long story short , try your luck calling them again. They let criminals activate credit cards so you should be able to get your information for you own card or not. Good luck.

  • ANZ isn't bad - they're the absolute worst. Useless bunch of pricks.
