I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this power bank (26,800mAh Imuto X6G) and the 20,000 mAh (X4G) are both terrible.

I tested them and they both have the same capacity - around 24,000 mAh (~86Wh) before losses.

Neither can provide 100W for the full output and run very hot.

The X6G output 100W for slightly under 5 minutes (7.5Wh output), then cut out, and was limited to 60W. At 60Wh it ran for 43 minutes, before cutting out and then only supplying 45W until empty.
Total output was 66Wh - 66.56% of the rated capacity.

The X4G actually did better - it output 100W for 18 minutes before cutting out. However it smelt like burning, and the top of the power bank was 60 degrees Celsius. Upon restarting it, it limited the output to 60W, and output 60W until empty. Total output was 68.5Wh (92% of the rated capacity).

At 9V, 20W (phone charging) they both give about 72Wh - 83% efficiency, which is slightly low for a larger capacity power bank.

I think they use very low quality cells that struggle under the (not very high) 100W load, as well as inefficient voltage conversion efficiency.

I don't think either of these are worth buying and if you did buy one, I would return it. I doubt they will last very long as the cells will likely degrade quickly, even when not in use.
While they handle phone charging ok, I would absolutely not use them to charge a laptop, as the temp regulation is very bad.

    • Great insight.

What power bank did you end up buying?

      • I actually test power banks for my job, though am also mildly obsessed with them.

On the budget end, INIU is great and gives the rated capacity. The 100W, 25,000mAh B63 is on sale currently and is a great deal for $61.19.

Have you tested the INIU ones as well?

@ozbagends: Yep - not all of them (no 140W for example) but all the ones I have tested have been great.

            • @Prong: Awesome! Thanks saw your comment on the other post as well
