Hisense PX2-PRO UST Projector Ultra Short Throw $2749.99 Delivered @ Costco (Membership Required)

130

Probably clearing stock for the upcoming PX3 that's due to start selling soon, but this is still great value for a UST projector at this price point.

Same price as last time this deal was run at Costco but hasn't been any cheaper since and is a much more accessible deal if you live in any state where Videopro charges a bunch for delivery.

      just get projector screen paint.

      • is that something real, what brand/type paint and where do they sell it?

        • Yes it's real. Google it.

@killingtime: Paint can replicate regular types of screens but not a proper UST screen, they have multiple layers of material and the top layer is a 3 dimensional saw tooth structure that reflects the image to the viewers and deflects ceiling reflections away, providing superior contrast and brightness. Paint also will not fix wall ripples which are greatly accentuated by the angle a UST shoots the image at.

If you want the best image your new UST projector investment is capable of then also invest in a proper UST screen. Better detailed explanation available at https://darkenergyscreens.com.au

Nah youll want an ALR screen for short throw projectors.

    • Not sure this was downvoted - a lot of the hisense UST projectors used to come with an ALR screen

You WILL need an ALR screen to get the most out of any UST projector. The angle of projection highlights even the smallest imperfection on the surface and ambient light just makes the image look faded .USTs were/are marketted as TV replacements because of the high brightness and low throw distance which equates to no need for a big dark room ..but the con is unlike a long throw every single imperfection on the projected surface is highllighted so there HAS to be a screen unless the wall has zero imperfections and if you do not have a dark room you MUST have an ALR screen or paint if you project on a wall.. if you want to get the 4k TV like image or it willl look washed out. ALR screens are not cheap ..XYZ screens on Ali is probably the cheapest and most reputable in the cheaper segment but plenty of other options.. $ 1200 for a 100 inch ALR screen is about the cheapest option that actually works. This is a great unit but without the right screen it willl not impress so just be aware of that.

    • Can confirm my XYZ screen is amazing.

    • me using mine with a standard one

This is the cheapest screen I have seen.. For 120" screen just costing less than $1200

    • I got the formovie theatre + black series 100" screen from here and it's a fantastic combo. Daytime viewing is really decent and night time excels.

  • Buy a tv now no point going protector for fixed viewing
