Cafe or Restaurant Choice Gift Cards - How to Use Small Remaining Balance

The current Everyday Rewards 20x promotion (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/849959) on Cafe Choice Gift Cards has got me thinking about using them.

Just wondering if people have had experience using these (or Restaurant Choice gift card, which I understand is very similar) and how they dealt with spending the last few dollars or cents on the card (i.e. a value that is below the cost of what they were going to buy).

Were most restaurants/cafe's accomodating in providing a payment split across two cards? I did ask about this in the thread about the promotion and someone mentioned that Nando's allows this. Anyone know of any others?

    Can always go spend it at Maccas and do split payment.

      Can also split payment at KFC, which I recently did and preferred as can split between two cards vs Macca's which has to be card + cash.

    I will be using the Cafe GC ones at Sushi Hub mainly, coz i frequent it like a crack addict. At least there I know they allow split payment. If u do go there, remember to stack it up with Liven 😀

      I found restaurant choice has stopped working in Liven app, recently got declined in two places

      Depends on who you get. Only the manager ever seems to know how to do it and it depends on the manager. Very hit and miss
