  • Regret so much for missing that $1100 ie900……

ie600 is better than ie900 imo… and also at that price i'd rather jump up to monarch 3

      • Sound is subjective in a lot of ways, but saying the 600's > 900's is a bold statement. I would like to hear more of why you found it that way?
Personally i really wanted to like the ie600's. As the ie900's are probably the nicest IEM i've ever listened too, while being compact. I really wanted the ie600's to be somewhat like them, as they are obtainable (price wise).
Sadly they sound nothing alike. in fact i hated them.

          I own mmk3/u12t/mest etc.

The ie900 sounds like a offbrand 64audio iem (3-4khz dip tuning) with worse timbre, whereas the ie600 is best in class (U-shape tuning), but a tad bright.

For the ie900's price and tuning I'd go straight to U4s/U6t or Dunu Mirai, all sound a good amount better.

But I'd be willing to pay full price for ie600, only upgrade would be something like nightjar singularity atm, and even then it's mostly a sidegrade instead of a straight upgrade like ie900 vs u4s.

          • @HPdeskjet: I find it really interesting how subjective IEM's and music tuning can be.
maybe it was just the ie600's or me on the day. holy shit they sounded like pretty good, cheap ~$150 IEM's.
I completely agree with you on the ie900's and their price. its a hard sell at even <50% off.
Personally I haven't had much time with 64 Audio IEM's, I've heard of them and know of the hype. when you're in one of those stores you start with the most expensive and work your way down. I'll be honest i didn't like any of them. Very likely their tuning did not match my taste. same as the IE600's.
The IEM's that surprised me the most, and actually had both me and a mate leave with a pair was a set of meze advar's at ~$700aud. as they sounded so close to IEM's 2x or more their price. while also being small and compact (single driver i believe).

Cant imagine to pay this amount for an earphone back in my old poor uni days.

  • How long does this promo last?
