is 10000mah in that size even possible?

    • +2

      🤨 ?

      • It look's very small for 10000mah battery capacity.
That must be 10000mah at 2.25v (considering in the spec its 22.5w). In real operational voltage of the phone battery 3.7v (charged 4.2v), then the real battery capacity is 6000mah battery bank…..no?

        • +2

It look's very small for 10000mah battery capacity

I've bought two of these… they work fine…

          • +2

@jv: Well yes, I'm sure they do. But this is a discussion on battery capacity, not function. 10000mAh is a useless number when we don't know what voltage that number was rated at. Looking at the 1.5 charges claimed for an S23 though, 10000mAh at 2.25v and 6000mAh at 3.7v sounds about right.

              @jpeg-jpg:

              10000mAh is a useless number

              Mine works fine.

              • @jv: your power bank may be working but your brain clearly isn't

        • If you click on the link one of the reviews shows the back of the power bank with the ratings.
Says its 10000mAh/37Wh, so that confirms its rated 10,000mAh at 3.7V.

        • It's not as small as it looks and is 2.4cm thick. It's about the same volume to capacity ratio as other power banks.

Power bank mAh is typically given at the individual cell voltage, so 3.7V or close to.

So 37Wh. I've tested this one and it gives 84% of the rated capacity after efficiency losses (at 9V 20W), which is a good result.

I got one recently, its shorter but fatter..

        its shorter but fatter..

I just googled that and now I have a meeting with the HR manager this afternoon… 😲

I sense a promotion on the cards if the manager can confirm a raise.

It's NOT that size. The pictures lie, look at the specs, it's 24mm thick.

Yes, you read that right, it's 2.4cm, thicker than a stack of 3 or 4 phones.

Definitely not practical for pockets (which is the whole point of getting a smaller powerbank).

Especially when there are perfectly good 6mm powerbanks around this price (with 5000mah, more than a full charge for most phones).

      Like this one: https://www.amazon.com.au/Auskang-Portable-Charger-5000mAh-C…

Or smaller chunky ones that plug into the bottom, like this one:

      https://www.amazon.com.au/Portable-Charger-5000mAh-Charging-…

If you need to charge multiple/large devices, get a 20,000mah chonker. If you need a small one for your pocket, don't get this, get one that's actually small.

      ‎10.54 x 6.6 x 2.39 cm; 260 Grams

That is on the thick and heavy side for a 37Wh (nominal) LiPo battery.

  • +1

wasnt it like $15 not long ago ?

    • My thoughts; I think it's only a must buy if around 15$, but if U need one now now then 20$ should be the price

  • Finally, I said I have enough power banks(and cables) thanks INIU.

  • VRURC Mini Power Bank 10000mAh $18.89.

    • How does this one compare? For the VRURC, the technical details list dimensions as ‎1.5 x 12 x 13 cm, 165g, but in the description it says 10.7 x 6.86 x 1.53 cm; 165g. If the description is true, then this seems lighter and thinner than the ‎INIU with similar dimensions: 10.54 x 6.6 x 2.39 cm; 260g.

      • I'll double check the measurements. But in general this VRURC isn't great.

I get about 76% rated capacity at 20W, which is well below average. The main issue seems to be under spec cells that can't sustain fast charging and give the rated capacity.

For $18 it's fine but I suspect it won't hold up longer term. But will get the job done for occasional use.

Best option IMO is the INIU B6. But it's significantly larger.

  • +4

    For me:
    - $15: instant buy
    - $20: maybe if you really need one
    - $25+: pass

    • +2

      what about at $22?

      • Well at $22 I’d need to “need” it more than when it was $20 to justify the new price.

    • It's good to have triggers

  • +1

I got this one for $13 on sale:
    https://www.amazon.com.au/VEEKTOMX-10000mAh-Ultra-Compact-Po…
Not much difference from this one if I was to buy another?

    • +3

The INIU Mini is better according to this comment: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/15097646/redir

      • Ah perfect. Might just give the smaller one to my mum/sisters - something light for their handbag that can charge their phone 1-2 times

        • +1

Guys can have handbags too …

        • I have since tested a newer version of the Veektomx power bank and it's significantly improved. Still below average (especially if fast charging at 20W) but for occasional use (and $13) the downsides are not to bad considering the compact size.

The INIU B6 is the best option IMO if you can catch it on sale. It's about the same overall volume as the B61 in this deal but is much slimmer.

    • +1

      Small, but not light:
260g (INIU Mini) vs 170g (VEEKTOMX Mini)

  • There's been a few INIU deals lately. Waiting for the 20k 65W to hit

    • +1

      There's been a few INIU

      Tightarse recommends them…

  • +7

INIU this deal would be back

  • does this charge laptops as well? Don't see it in the descriptions. Any recommendations?

    • No

  • I bought the other one before; I buy this one too… I don't need any of them

  • When enter "UDQD3HBA", it said "The promotional code you entered is not valid."

  • I am so over these deals … every day … lasts a very short time … Maybe we should have one post open all the time and just update the price on it (or ignore it) .It's slowly spam!

    • It looks like we are short of mobile energy, not money.

  • +1

There are so many 10,000mAh battery deals, but where are the 5000 mAh ones? Those others are quite bulky to put in electric jackets, etc.

  • I thought I'd share.. This perfectly fits inside a orbitkey nest.
