Belong Mobile $45 100GB Starter Pack for $17 + Delivery ($0 to Metro with $55 Order/OnePass/Pick-up/In-store) @ Officeworks

270

This can last 3 months if combined with $20 referral credit & activated on the $29 (25GB) plan. So $45 + $20 equals $65 credit.

1st month $29 (25GB) - 2nd month $19 (5GB) - 3rd month $19 (5GB)

Once your account is set up you can move to the $19 (5GB) plan so it's ready for the next payment date, $2 more needed for the 3rd month. Belong Plans

Before you activate make sure you get a referral code from a friend already with Belong or the OzBargain Belong pool for an additional $20 credit. If you've been with Belong before you will have to use a new email in order to get the referral credit again.

  • Unlimited national calls & sms.
  • Unlimited data banking & gifting.
  • No lock-in contracts.
  • Flexibility to change plans once every monthly payment cycle.
  • Data slows to 1Mbps if you use all your monthly allowance.
  • Telstra
  • 12 month starter pack expiry (you have 12 months from the purchase date to activate)
  • Limit 2 per customer.

Credit to @WatchNerd for his deal description

If you didn’t write the description, best to credit the previous OP

    • What should the OP use for crediting? the Harvard referencing guide, the MLA, the MHRA or the APA for crediting? 🤔
Based on your post it seems important to get things right

      • +2

English is fine - crediting ≠ referencing :)

Nice post, description is on point.

Thanks. Was waiting for $17 price.
WatchNerd's informative last Deal was $22

  • Nicely detailed post but I'm still a bit confused :( On the product page it says "Bonus 20GB each month for 12 Months for new connections when you activate a Post-paid Handheld $45 plan". What is that about? Do I need to activate a $45 handset plan as well with this?

  • +2

You will need to manually elect the $29 plan on sign up, it won't default to it.

    • +2

Yes that's correct, you can choose any plan except the $19 when activating.

The $19 plan is only available after activating (2nd payment date) so it's best to move to it once your account is set up then it's ready for the next payment date.

  • OK might just be my area (Inner West Sydney) but - for me - Belong is unusably slow. As in really, really, bad. Sorry if I've stepped on any toes..

  • I did a OnePass free delivery last time, now it shows out of stock for delivery but allowed me to click and collect at the same store.

  • I am ran out with active emails for each belong promotion. Any suggesion how to avoid this?

    • Do the gmail trick where you add a random full stop.

        A long forgotten dark art

  • Be aware that their customer service is absolutely appalling.
When I had an issue, I wasted well over an hour on the phone with their customer service rep and supervisor. Both were ignorant and stubborn.
I told them that I would post negative reviews and would complain to the telecommunications ombudsman. Only then they said that someone else from the customer service would call me to discuss.
When someone more knowledgeable and educated called me, it took another half an hour to discuss and explain the issues. But they finally fixed the issue.

Looks like the deal has expired :-(.

not expired, just sold out in some states - why not just go to Woolworths, whom Officeworks were price-matching, or price-match at JB?

        • 2 Woolies refused price match
Price is $45 @OW with stock!
          "Available in store NOW"

            • @tonester: Checked Woolies Qld catalog $17👍
Tried price match of Coles $17 weeks ago @Woolies.

Not as good as promised $12 from JB Deal , but that's unobtainable!

                • @tonester: Previously tried Perks voucher on SIM in JB store - refused as wasn't accepted by system.

              • +1

@INFIDEL: The one on the Woolworths catalogue is a mobile data starter pack not the mobile starter pack, will they price match it?

                • +1

                  @jimojr: Correct!
Woolies has a $35 mobile Data starter pack.
Which cant be used for calls

Not this $45 phone starter pack.
Cant be used to price match!!

                  • @INFIDEL:

Woolies has a $35 mobile Data starter pack.
Which cant be used for calls

Never have one to try it, I always get Belong Sim cards on Telstra rewards store.

                    • @jimojr: Only bought the $80 Belong PHONE SIMs with points - when were 2000pt @Telstra Plus😉
                      Never returned to that price😢

Back then… Could activate as Data for 500GB. Gifting that to a PHONE SIM!
With $20 referral, could use phone SIM for 6 months. So a good place to store lots of data!

Still gifting Data from that time.

DATA SIM can receive calls, not make them. Can SMS.

Can't get $20 Belong referral at sign up with DATA SIM!

So only good if you want 100GB DATA for a month.

            • @tonester: Not the same SIM!!!

Woolies has a $35 mobile Data starter pack.
Which cant be used for calls
Not this $45 phone starter pack.

Can't be used to price match this SIM!!

  • Guess OW dropped price to match Woolies $17 in catalog starting Wed.
Then realised Woolies was a different $35 DATA SIM & put price back to $45!

    So was temporary price error😜
Planned to buy today - missed out.
