How would these go to wear as my gardening shoes?

    • +1

Also considering for this purpose haha

Not sure the odd plant cutting requires steel (or composite) cap boots. Having said that, considering a pair for mowing.

I read the "Cat Propulsion" in the title and clicked in. Very dissapointed this deal is about shoes and not rockets up a cat's arse.

I thought robot vacuums were the cat propulsion.

      • +1

I'm not adverse to that. If the cat took a ride on the vacuum before it exploded providing the cat propulsion.

I thought it was a boot designed specifically for the wearer to propel the cat.

Ahh right that makes a lot more sense!

just the thing for ejecting that annoying ginger tom that frequents my place

And the only size not available just happens to be 10 lol

The green colour has a 10

In a previous deal some comments hinted that these boots are huge. Might be lucky with a 9?

Would these be ok for camping and the odd bushwalk?

    • +1

I wouldn't think so. You don't need composite toe protection while bush walking unless a rock falls on your foot.

I use Steelblue workboots regularly for bushwalking and camping. They are fine. I wouldnt want to go hard core with an o/night pack tho. You will struggle to get the same level of snug and supportive fit from workboots vs hiking boots. There is more toe room with a steel or composite toe cap - which may be an issue for serious hikers. And, I am old school, there is nothing better than a leather hiking boot.

I have also found that workboots become slippery when hiking as they wear. This is probably because I wear them every other day for work (often on bitumen and concrete) where-as my hiking boots are rarely used.

You may want to check/compare weight of boots. For occasional hiking on easy trails, a light pair of hiking shoes or even joggers can be better. I am told Paddy Palin and his crew wore Dunlop volleys trekking around the Budawangs.

I highly recommend workboots for gardening. An old pair saved my toes from a lazy chainsaw (operator).

YMMV but for me these were not very comfortable boots, even for the cheap price.

  • Everyone should be aware that despite being an Australian website that these shoes are all in US sizing (for example size 12 US = 11 AUS/UK)

  • is this good for roofers?

  • made an order with them last weekend. wouldn't process with paypal even money was charged. changed to normal debit card, finished the payment but got no confirmation. the order status is still "processing" after a few days…

    • I had an order with Adidas from roughly 10 days ago and same was stuck on processing order the whole time, yesterday got another email saying its packed ready for shipping.
Get this a bit and I think sometimes their systems don't update sometimes but maybe follow up with customer support see if they can look into it for you.

jut got an update this morning with a tracking number. but the thing is they advertise same day dispatch on their website. with adidas i always get an confirmation right away and updates when the order is shipped.

Its annoying I have found the shipping from a few places to be slow to get moving recently but happy to still get the goods!

  • Shipping is now $20, StarTrack next day delivery though.
