Microsoft eBay Store Away Til 19 June (Update: Store Closing Indefinitely)

The official Microsoft Store says it’s away until the 19th June. A few years ago I remember them having cracking EOFY sales at this time.. Are they saving the deals until the last week of the month, or have they just been winding down their EBay store lately?

We wish to inform you that the Microsoft eBay Store Australia will be closing indefinitely from today.

The Store will remain active for any order/return enquiries until Friday 28 June, 2024. The closure of the Microsoft eBay Store Australia does not affect your entitlement to make a return within the relevant return period for a product, or your entitlement to a remedy in respect of product warranty breaches, or product failures which constitute a breach of statutory guarantees owed to you by Microsoft under the Australian Consumer Law.

If, after 28 June 2024, you wish to make a return or a warranty claim, or raise any other concerns regarding products purchased through the Microsoft eBay Store Australia, please contact our Microsoft Store customer service team on [email protected].

  Microsoft discontinued their hardware line up to focus on the Surface brand.

  Potentially to discontinue their store if all they're selling now is just Surface tablets/laptops?

  There's a 15% Zip promo and they don't want to be a part of that. So they just set Away on Holiday mode and that's just another way of opting out of promotions.

  Usually they would just de-list all hot-selling Xbox / PC accessories and controllers but I think it's just easier to disable purchases on their whole eBay store.

  And here starts the death of eBay. I already only it once or twice a year. It used to be my GOTO. Amazon has really taken all the market.

    When Amazon jacks their prices like they have in the USA eBay will be back, but I agree it is a shadow of itself. I still compare eBay/Amazon and often find eBay cheaper, though Amazon is usually faster
