Ordered one of these from Amazon, the build quality was terrible. The ports were misalligned and one of the ports didn’t work.

On balance, I also got one from Amazon this year, been working fine with no issues or misalignments.

Thankfully Amazon return policy is good for these type of things.

Yeah I've got one from Amazon and it's been fine. All working, no problems either.

      • Same, I actually bought 3 of this exact charger from Amazon, because I thought and still think they are good. All three of them are in use and work fine, first one purchased in November last year, and then 2 more in January this year. No complaints so far, except maybe one issue when connecting device to a charger causes other ports to drop and start charging again, but I think this is quite typical behaviour for multi-port chargers till certain generation (3rd?).

I had a similar experience. Bought one of these at full price direct from Zyron tech, the USB-A slot stopped working on day 1, was disappointed given the high price tag.

Worst of all, if bought direct from the supplier, there is an extensive and tedious process on their website to claim warranty that (from memory) included heaps of steps which included needing to submit a video of the product malfunctioning during use, for approval. Just wasn't worth the trouble, still using the half working product now.
Through prime though, returns hopefully much better

Agree with poor quality comment. My charger works only one port at a time after a few months. When I charge my S23, another usb-c port not charging. The port starts charging after I unplug S23. It worked fine as expected when new.

    • I have a few zyron tech chargers, they have all been good, including this one. I would not get another only because I want a charger with more power.
I am aware of the 140w version having some loose internal issues, but they stopped selling those.

My 100w has been a truly great travel charger. HP Laptop, iPad, iPhone and AirPods all from the one charger.

I have one and unless I am missing something this is a fair bit slower than my Samsung 65w charger. I believe the 65w charge speed claim is BS.

    • What are you charging with it?

      • My work Oppo Ace2 (65w) and Google pixel 8 pro (30w) and a 65w Powerbank.

All cables are the same 100w baseus design (still slower for 65w items than my Samsung charger)

  • +Case I am sold

Strongly suggest purchasing on Amazon for $34.99 if you have Prime (https://www.amazon.com.au/Charger-Adapter-Laptop-MacBook-iPh…)

Given questions about reliability or quality, you can always return easily on Amazon.

Might also be worth checking out this bad boy for $31.97 (https://www.amazon.com.au/NOVOO-Charger-Compact-Foldable-Thi…) - I've not seen a teardown, but I wouldn't be surprised if they've got almost identical insides.

    • so can this charger do 65w output for both type c ports at same time? + 18w usb type a charge output or nah too much for it? can only do 65w for onr type c?

I have purchased 2 x Gan and 2 x powerbanks from Zyron and all have failed fully or partially. They were great for a while.

Just to add perspective to the other posts, I bought a Zyron charger 2 years ago. Still going strong, charges quick (120w version) and is my main charger whilst travelling

Ignoring the potential quality issues, if this is PPS compliant with a range of 3.3-11V at 5A, does that mean it can meet the requirements for a RPi5 to charge at 5.1V/5A?

  • I have 3 or 4 of these + 100W for over an year , use them daily and no quality issues.

Sharing a personal story, might be relevent to potential Zyron buyers.

I got a Zyron Powerpod 66W GaNCharger like six months back. It was quiet good at first with fast charging and everything.
However after 2/3 months it started to charge more slowly, esp my powerbank. The powerbank in question was an Ugreen which I was using for like 3 years without a hitch at that point. One morning I left my powerbank charging and after 30mins it caught fire. I lost most of my things in my room because of it as a result. FIre brigade told me the fire was due to the powerbank OR charger. I do not know for sure. But digging on the internet I got some not-so-good report about Zyron and fire in general like this and this. Go thrgouh the comments and you will know what I mean.

I cannot say I am 100% sure that it was my charger that was at fault. But the other posts kinda sway me that way. Anyway ever since I just got Anker chargers which was expensive but at least I do not have any headaches now.

  • I have a 100W , seems well built and no problems so far.
