Is my Romoss 30000mah done for?

Hi all, this morning I noticed my Romoss 30000mah battery has turned into a bit of a see-saw. It's slight but it's there.

Should I cut my losses and take it to the recycling?

Thank you.

Maybe squeeze ONE more charge out of it

Be careful where you charge it, and not too fast. I'd keep it around as a backup, but not for frequent use.
It it not uncommon for lipo cells to bulge from gassing.

  • Thanks guys, much appreciated. Sorry to those who got a notification for a Romoss deal 🙈

If it's within warranty Amazon or the manufacturer will gladly refund or replace the item.

        It's 3 1/2 years old so it's had a decent run. Thanks mate :)

  • Mine is going on 5yrs and not bulging yet. The LEDs are hit and miss though.

  • I got a couple from amazon and they let me return them around a year or so after I got them for a refund.

Get rid of it, lipo fire is no joke.

congratulations! it's pregnant! that's what happens when you plug your jack into it too often

    • 😅

  • Good post I totally forgot they did this. Thanks for the heads up.

  • I think my @ROMOSS AU 20,000mA is knackered too.
How long are they meant to last? Doesn't really hold charge and battery has expanded when plug it in.

Possible to replace just the battery? Assume not economical.

    • The lifespan is a total number of full cycles. So it could last for years, or months, depending on how often you use it. I remember reading somewhere that we can expect around 500 cycles from a lithium ion. No idea if that's true or not.

I opened up my 30,000mah battery the other day and there were 2 silver bags inside, rather than a bunch of 18650's, so replacing the battery doesn't seem possible.

      • Yeah I wouldn't have charged it that many times, it's just had it no doubt.

I will into it a bit more, I'm sure it's on YouTube and people have opened them up.
