This is not the pro version
If the only difference is the 2.5Gbps port, not much use to most households.
It is the only difference. Main use case would be for people with a 2.5Gb NAS I suppose. Even then, it's a weird design choice.
@McFly: +1, one single 2.5Gbps port doesn't make it very pro.
X50 is available for $329 for a 3-pack.
Better value, certainly for larger coverage and especially if using wired backhaul.Only if using wired backhaul. As you know, the X75 has a third band for dedicated wireless backhaul so it suits a completely different use case.
x50 does it replace my ISP router too do you have a link?
Any Deco can be set either as a router or mesh only.
Can the dlink posted here the other day replace my router and the other two used to extend wifi?
@supatight: I don't know that device but the picture has an 'Internet' plug on the back so I assume so.
Edit: And it says router in the title!
There are many good reviews and experiences with these but I had to sell mine because of constant wifi issues. Even had poor connections with wired backhaul and Deco units a few metres from my devices. After a few months of frustration I gave up.
Quite a few similar experiences on reddit too.
What did you replace it with?
I have a set of 3 x Linksys Atlas on the way (bought on special from amazon US for $199 USD).
How long ago/which model(s)?
So who here is actually benefiting from the 6 Ghz spectrum? Is it a considerable improvement over 5 Ghz? I still feel like this is a want more than a need.
Lesser interference from the neighbours routers on the signal .. if you do not have that isssue ..stick with what you have specially if everything is working well
TP-Link network equipment is sold as enterprise class at a bargain.. it is not .. I have always had problems with TP-Link ..look at cheaper options like Tenda unless you can measure the Rssi or prove that internet does not work even when the signal shows strong
Agree, I've never been a huge fan of TP-Link, or even D-Link for that matter. Of all the brands, I've only ever been satisfied with Asus and Netgear.
I'm thinking about to tp links omada wifi 7 access points instead of unifi…
But this at least this comes with a router etc.
This is good price, I've been eyeing on these for a while. However after reading some review (especially the wireless backhaul issues) I'm reluctant to purchase and favour more to Asus.
DECO XE75 (not Pro) is presently on sale at TGG Commercial for $440 (3 pack). Could you kindly tell me if this is a fair offer and share your experience with it in a FTTP with a 1GB download speed from my ISP?
FYI - the Linksys set I ordered (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/15361392/redir) to replace my XE75 setup, is up and running. Unlike with the XE75, I have had zero wifi drop outs and my LAN is now stable. No more IOT devices going offline randomly either.
YMMV
Same seller on ebay but can use $20 voucher to make it cheaper
