Very nice - time to take my dad-core getup to the next level.

(I mean this in the most positive, sincere way possible)

    • +6

Just a shame there's none of the no hand slip ons on sale, so you can just walk into your shoes and go "why is no one else ready to go yet?"

I wear the pair that have turned green from mowing the lawn with absolute pride though, I love sketchers.

      • +15

Dads: up since 5am, 4 black coffees, newspaper read, dog taken for a walk, thermostat set, car packed, roof rack stuff tied up with a firm slap and loudly announce ‘yep she ain’t going anywhere’. - why is no one else ready to go yet?"

Also dads after everyone gets into the car ready to go: Hang on mates just gotta use the loo real quick ( 30 minutes to 3 business days later )

      • Yep i tried the new range slip on no need hand. Very good

      • +1

@freefall101 if you mean slip-ins range, accidentally i found one that included on this sale.

Cheers seniors Kris kringle sorted for the local nursing home

Are those Gorun shoes any good? Previously have some models with good review likes Gorun Razor on internet, unsure about other models.

    • Dunno if you’d find anything better and easily available at $33 equivalent

  • Any good suggestions? (Men/women/kid boy 5yrs)

  • +1

Did it work for anyone? Mine is up to 200+ even though I picked the 3 pairs from outlet. The code only deducted $60 in total off order.

    • +1

Yes did worked for me order already ready to C&C

    • I had to turn off Adguard for it to work for me.

    • +2

Only specific colours are apart of the 3 for $99 offer.

      • +1

Aha that's right! Thanks got it through :)

        • No worries :)

      • How to find which ones are included???

  • Thanks OP!

  • Thanks OP, excellent bargain. $33 per pair, it's a no brainer.

  • Any code for free shipping?

    • Don’t think you can stack codes

    • I ordered 6 pairs using this deal and it gave free express shipping. Just gotta spend over $130.

$33 per pair is extremely cheap.

    • +2

Order extra to get eligible for free shipping and then return in store the extra

      • Ordered 4 for $180 but wanting to return one..not able to cancel the order and not sure if I will get $80 for the returned product or $33. Any idea?

        • As long as you return in store, it's free

  • Does anyone know if the CM sizing is the insole or the sole sizing?

I know it says to measure the foot but that makes each equivalent size one size too small than usual, so a foot length nor ally for 8.5 is 7.5 on their chart.

    • If this sale is still on tomorrow, I'll pop into town to try some on

      • I don't know what "CM sizing" is. I tried on some pairs today. I'm a UK8/US9 but often need to go a size up. The UK8s I tried today fit right. No idea if this helps you.

        • Cm is japan standard. The best. Centimetre would be always true l. Uk us size? Different brand can be different

  • Who is the target audience for skechers? Genuine question.

  • I’m having trouble. It says invalid code. I chose the same style with 2 of 1 colour & 1 of the other. What am I doing wrong. Thanks in advance.

    • I had similar issues. I think you can't change the colour. You only have the option of choosing the colour which is shown.

  • +2

I think I know now LOL… IF IT says 3 for 99 above the shoe then that’s the one on sale.

  • Thanks OP

  • Allowing you to sort shoes by your shoe size in choice of US, UK or EU sizing is a great time saver. I wish other sites like Anaconda did this.

I prefer if the whole world adpot ONE size system. Cm (or mm). On both men and women.

Friends went through checkout on website, which showed one price, and then got charged $100 more via paypal. They asked to cancel and the chat response was the error happened because "you did not follow the correct guidelines for the promotion". They ordered 4 items instead of 3… Refused to cancel the order, won't be refunding the $15 delivery if items are returned. Not even an apology for their website error, how is it legal to charge a differen number to what was authorised? Just shows how horribly disappointing the customer service is and I would steer clear.

    • +4

Same thing happened to me. When I ordered 4 items instead of 3, the checkout price came as $94 but PayPal charged me $194 instead. Luckily, I was able to cancel the order before it was shipped.

      • +4

Can confirm that this also happened to us. Ordered 4 items and confirmed checkout price (saving a screenshot) but were then charged $100 more, after approving payment in Paypal of the same amount we saw in the Skechers checkout. We saw the same amount in Paypal that we saw in Skechers but after approving the Paypal payment, we received notification that we had been charged $100 more. We were able to have order cancelled but only after being told by Skechers agent that it was our fault for not following the "rules" and ordering more than 3 items. We were unable to find any T&Cs that we failed to follow (we just added 4 items instead of 3) and even if there were rules that we violated, that is no excuse for asking us to confirm one price and then charging us $100 more. Be aware!

        • +4

looks like their website can't caculate the correct discount if you choose 4. but still it is their fault

        • I wonder what will happen if we pay by cc straight not paypal

      • +2

same happened to me. showed $99.99 at checkout even at PayPal check out then when I checked the email and my bank card I was charged $199.99. Isent dispute to Paypal but not sure if I get back the differences. Shame on them

    • +6

On the same boat AND couldn’t cancel order on time. Got a super rude response from live chat. Never shopping from these people again.

      • +2

        try paypal dispute?

        • +3

Thank you, I will. But at the same time thinking there would be a whole bunch of people who wouldn’t even have noticed that this money was taken off their card. Pretty significant misconduct, especially considering it is $100 per person affected.

          • -1

@erd: But not many will try 4 when the promo is 3 for 99

            • @CyberMurning: Well ozbargain is home to the most diligent shoppers in the nation and plenty of them got hit by it, looking at comments

Also, not unreasonable to expect the 4th pair to be discounted. That’s how it usually works with retail (coles, woolies, myer, etc.)

              • @erd: ok got it.
hmm probably if someone want to game the system, put 4, pay with prepaid cc which has just 115$ balance

              • +2

@erd: Should we combine all our details via an ozbargain forum post and send a complaint to NSW Fair Trading?

                • -1

@cheaptech20: Yes. Who we can report them about this if the dispute does not work? This really is a scam and I want them to be responsible for this

  • I just bought $320 worth of shoes for $100. Excellent deal. Have already received the email to pick up my click and collect order. Excellent deal. Thanks OP!

  • +6

Sketchers is a scam. They charged me 100 more than what was on the paypal. Then refused a refund… horrible customer service on the chat too.

    • +3

Now I see above it's happened to at least 3 others. Buyer beware! Anyone know what I can do? They're charging me 15 bucks for delivery when at checkout it said 0. So even if I now return the goods, I'm down 15. When confronted Sketchers were totally unapologetic.

      SKETCHERS ARE SCAMMERS.

      • -2

But you did order 4 not 3, right? Thats not following the rule

    • you should return all then ask for a full refund

      • At checkout it said $0 shipping, the false price they charged later added $15. So even if I return, I've been defrauded $15 shipping by Sketchers.

        • what's their excuse not refund you ? as if you provide them evidence ?

          • +3

@Flytothemoon: I have a screen grab of the point of the checkout at the transaction. Unfortunately don't have one of the Paypal window, but that was the correct number.
Their response was somehow it was my fault for not following the promotion guidelines… excuse me? I just paid what price was on the cart and then Sketchers bait and switch and go from 0 to $15 shipping… insanity. Buyer beware!!

      • +1

Plus they somehow claim it's my fault and are totally unapologetic. Literally THE WORST customer service I have ever had online.

        • +1

How did you pay? If by PayPal, dispute payment. You will get a full refund. Also if you have requested a full refund in a timely manner, they shouldn't have refused it. Probably you shouldn't even had to contact the chat. Just cancel your order.

          • +1

@Scrooge McDeal: We tried within 15min of the order. They already dispatched it. The FAQs say they can't cancel etc…then as I said the chat person was a nightmare. But thank you, I will try the PayPal dispute approach.

            • @cheaptech20: Can you just bring all back to store??

              • @CyberMurning: Mine was an order for delivery, and they charged 15 bucks delivery (even though it said free) and then they're arguing about it as I said

    • +2

same scam. raised a paypal dispute straight away. Paypal sent an email update that they have contacted the seller platypus shoes.

  • thanks mate

  • +1

Is it me or there are almost absolutely no size 12 shoes?

    • Hardly any.

    • they long gone

  • +1

Thanks OP, already got email saying order ready for C&C.

  • Dunno where their maths comes from but my final breakdown was all over the place.

    Subtotal > $279.97
Estimated Delivery (calculated at checkout) > $15.00
    3 for $99.99 Promotion > -$179.98
    You Save > -$60.00

    Total > $99.99

    Charged amount > $114.99

I knew their shipping was $15 for under $130, and thanks to the posts above I kept to the original deal guidelines… I seem to remember their website was sub-par from another deal I think?

    • +1

But at end its corect 3 for 99 plus 15 shipping?

      • Yes, thats my point - its correct if you stick to 3 for 99. Maybe I'm tired but I can't see where "you save" is coming from so I'm not surprised people are getting messed up with their purchases when they try something else

    • -2

They're scammers. Full stop. How can you show one price then change it.

      • -1

Incompetence isn't the same as scamming. People throwing the scam word around (not just here, but in general) just because they didn't get what they wanted.

I paid exactly what I expected to pay ($99.99 + $15 shipping). Others seem to have gotten the same result when keeping to the same three shoes from their selection deal. Sounds like their website isn't up to scratch when other factors such as extra shoes or items are brought into it and that's where people have been messed around.

Offer was also available in store as someone said they went straight to the outlet and bought the shoes they wanted, so the deal was still there.

        • -2

I can handle website errors and an apology/ refund for the misunderstanding. This was an error and a refusal to refund the shipping cost which appeared free at the time of checkout. i.e. cost increased by 115 after checkout. So that alone isn't the scam, it's the claim the customer somehow was at fault that makes it a scam. There was not even a single "sorry" during their conversations.

          • @cheaptech20:

it's the claim the customer somehow was at fault that makes it a scam

I think you need to realign your definition of scam.

            https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/stay-protected/scams

A scam is a way of tricking people into handing over money or personal details.

You said it yourself, you're calling it a scam because they're rude to you and blaming it on you. You ever work with call centres? Pay peanuts, get monkeys. They might not even be allowed to take toilet breaks - let alone refund you 20 times their hourly salary. Way above their pay scale. You have an issue with the customer service, not being an issue with being scammed.

            • -1

@aragornelessar: Incorrect, because there was a "trick" I expected to pay a price. Went through the checkout. It went up $115 and no way of refunding it. They tricked me into handing over money AND had poor customer service and refusal to refund. They're not mutually exclusive.

  • +1

Dang, too late to this party.

    • Huh? Too late?

      • Yeah almost nothing in my size.

  • Isnt it three pairs for $99.99 so you have to keep it that way and also lay $15 for delivery if can’t pick up?

  • And whats the return if unfit??

  • Women 42EU = 12US?

  • I asked 4 pairs and the checkout price showed $90 strangely. Looks like a discount calculation error. But writing let me do a PayPal payment.
Finally got through only after I kept 3 pairs in the cart.

    • Duh read above…

      • Duh… Others were charged extra, I wasn't. Looks like they fixed that part of the payment process.

        • +1

But you said you couldnt pay with 4 in cart? Oh.. yeah other could but they got charged more (later). The cart still 99

  • +1

    $99.99 actually

  • Code is not working for me:( has it expired?

    • +1

working just paid 10 secs ago

      • I have chosen different colours. Got it now :)

  • +2

    Anyone else getting this message:
BUY3 code isn’t valid for the items in your cart.

(and yes I had checked the items in the carts all are from the 3 for $99.99 selection)

    • Getting the same error

    • Yup. Same error. wondering whether the code has now expired.
