Seems like a big jump in price and I only signed up a few months ago. Was previously on TPG 25/4 for $75 per month.

Origin Broadband are moving from Aussie BB to Superloop to supply nbn. Changing to Exetel (owned by Superloop) or Superloop direct costs less for 25/10 and 50/20 for 6 months. Change to Leaptel if you want local Oz support.
ISP Speed Promo Price Ongoing Price Leaptel 25/10 $49.95/month for 6 months $69.95/month Exetel 25/10 $49.99/month for 6 months $59.99/month Superloop 25/10 $59/month for 6 months $65/month Exetel 50/20 $60.99/month for 6 months $78.99/month Superloop 50/20 $65/month for 6 months $79/month Leaptel 50/20 $69.99/month for 6 months $79.95/month Funny thing about exetel, as an existing customer they are increasing my bill to $79.99 a month. Sure it's only a $1 difference but what a trash way to treat your existing customers by charging them more than the newer plans.
NBN Co wholesale prices are rising from 1-July
Who decided that Australians can pay $80/month for a (typical) NBN internet connection?
Oh, and for an extra $10/month you can have a landline phone too.
Come July 1 ~$90/month will be the norm.
Don't mention Tel$tra or Optu$ fees…
Well what's all this I heard about making slower plans more expensive than the faster plans? Doesn't appear to be in that link
If one signs up now but have it scheduled to activate after 1st July- will the price rise?
I pay less for 100/20 (12mth deal).
Who with?
Southern Phone
Nice I will check it out. Otherwise I think I am just going to eff NBN off totally and go 5G home internet instead. iinet are offering way better pricing, I'm old now so latency probably doesn't even matter when I have the reaction time of a geriatric on online games anyway
@FrankAbagnaleJr: Not sure if the deal is still available and I'm the kind of person that doesn't need to call tech support almost ever (FTTP helps). YMMV
@Mechz: Appreciate it anyway, I will call around, find they usually offer better rates on the phone. Exetel might even come to the table with something if I threaten to leave. I still have ozb referral discounts for another 3 months so that will give me time to shop around.
Other prices changing as well? I've signed up to 50/20 to get the bonus EDR points after 45 days but the connection won't start until the end of this month
Surely every retailer will increase their prices if their wholesale cost rises? I'm on a 6 month promo offer so will pay the new increased prices when that ends.
Will your prices increase as soon as 1 July hits? or will you be locked with current rates?
I just got an email from ABB (my current provider) that they increase their pricing:
From your next bill on or after 11 July, your NBN Value 50Mbps/20Mbps Unlimited ($85.00) plan will be changing to NBN Value 50Mbps/20Mbps Unlimited ($89.00), increasing in price.
Just signed up with Leaptel, to take their offering for FTTP 100/20.
I think that is a ripp off peice even before increase
