Infinity E15 Gaming Laptop - Ryzen 5 6600H, GTX 1650 4GB, 16GB RAM - $797 + Delivery ($0 to Metro/ C&C/ In-Store) @ Officeworks

100

Pretty solid deal for an entry level gaming or productivity laptop. RAM and SSD are pretty easily upgradable. Not the most powerful GPU and build quality is probably only average but the pricing is pretty solid for the specs. Enjoy.

dang the gtx 1650 is eternal at this point

    • 100%. The 780m integrated graphics on modern ryzen cpus isn’t far behind

    Don't. Save up more money.

  • Will this be good uni laptop?

      no

too heavy and battery will be s***

      To whoever downvoted, why?

        why

Who cares, it's a downvote, not a death sentence. Gutless yes, but really not important.

        • Nah internet points are the least of ky worries

I'm more interested whether the point I made was wrong or inaccurate, I don't have actual experience with this laptop.

        • Who cares if we punish people who help us? Surely you can't be this oblivious!

        Appreciate that.

no gaming laptop will be good for uni. Imagine in the middle of a quite class, you turn on your jet engine.
Also, the battery will be a problem, as most of the gaming laptop will not last an hour if you don't know how to tune it. Even with proper power management, it will only last 2 hrs, you won't be able to catch multiple classes in a single day.

  • Why would you put a 1650 in a laptop with 660m? Sure, it's more powerful, but not much more, maybe 50%? While being double the tdp?

    • For stuff like CAD it's fine tbh.

1650? That was like 10 years ago.

gtx1650 was release after rtx2060, as most game hasn't fully utilize the ray tracing and demand for the cheaper GPU during covid.
      it probably 4-5 year

  • what sort of build quality is Infinity compare to other big brands?

  • +1

How does this compare with the MSI Thin B12UCX which is the same price?

  • Couldn't even squeeze a ti into it….

GTX 1650 gonna be rough in modern games, definitely worth an extra $100 for the RTX 3060 6GB Lenovo LOQ at Officeworks IMO if you can afford it.

  • I don't suppose you would be getting a great panel for the price. Just how s'house in the screen? No need to make it bright enough for outdoor use I suppose. The distributor states a 6 month manufacturer warranty on the battery but Officeworks doesn't mention that. I support that's Officeworks's problem. 6 months would seem to be a violation of the ACL in any case.
