    • did you update the firmware ?

    • +2

It rebooted at 7pm. So the schedule is working as it should now. Maybe because I re-saved the time zone as Perth?

  • Got my pack yesterday and was apprehensive about the connection issues folks shared.
I had too much trouble setting up with firmware version it came with (FW 1.02)
I gave up after 15 minutes and decided to upgrade. Post upgrade the connection was a cake-walk.

How to upgrade to latest stock firmware released on 28/05/2024?

    Download link - https://support.dlink.com.au/Download/download.aspx?product=…
Here we are looking for M32 A1 FW 1.10 (firmware file M32A1_FW110B02.bin)
Connect to router via Laptop for manual upgrade.
In D-link console, go to 'Management' -> 'Upgrade' -> Advanced Settings… -> Upgrade Manually -> Select the downloaded file. -> hit 'Upload'
Take a brisk walk, shit, shower, exercise.
Firmware should be updated by now.
Verify by loggin in D-link console. Check top banner "Model Name : M32 Hardware Version : A1 Firmware Version : 1.10.02"
I am on FTTP so a modem ain't required. Plug one end to the NBN box direcly to INNTERNET port of mesh router. (I don't know why the heck is called internet port, most router call it WLAN port)

It ain't a slovenly task for a router to deliver 109/19 on an NBN 100 plan on an hour of monitoring. So all well when ends well!

Pro tip: Use the same SSID(Wi-fi name) and password during configuration and trick all the existing zillion devices that nothing changed in their world and save the hassle of reconnection.

I am gonna enjoy the smooth stock fw for a while before I consider OpenWRT.

    Hope it helps! Cheers.

    • Updating via the app / web interface worked for me without manually downloading the firmware. IIRC, it was done automatically as part of setup?

      • Automatic update should work technically via app/web. However, I kept getting the error 'Internet Disconnected' when using the 'check for new firmware' button. I didn't bothered trouble shooting further and took the manual route.
