This AD is for the 480ohms version which OP somehow left the most important detail out, I have the 80ohms and I love it.
It gives you eargasm, I can just imagine what the 480ohms sounds like.

I got the 80ohms because I wanna be able to use it on my phone, XBox controller, laptop.
IIRC, above 150ohms you need an amplifier to drive it.
The only thing I dislike about my 80ohms is the cable is fixed while the 480ohms looks like you can detach it and that is awesome.

      you mean 48 ohms?

this model is the X which only comes in 48 ohms.

      gives you eargasm

That's not the portmanteau I've seen regularly used (I won't be repeating it). EQ advised, at least while the pads settle.

Anywho, this release hasn't been favorably reviewed, nor is the 700X thought of as some monumental leap compared to the original.

If build quality isn't your biggest concern, the AKG K371 and Sony Playstation Pulse Elite are the best bang for buck in this range when it comes to closed back audio quality.

  • Don't listen to Jasswolf, he just hates beyerdynamic headphones.

yeah I wasn't about to watch an hour of YouTube links to work out whether he was agreeing or disagreeing with me

  • Why would you get this over the DT770 Pro for less money $239?.

    • it's a different model with newer/different drivers and a detachable cable - not entirely a replacement for the DT770 but just a different option.

      • It's still $110 more. But if you want the convenience of a removable audio cable i guess you've got to pay that much more.

        • I guess you'd have to try them to work out whether that is good value.

Detachable cable is preferable for me.

          Also, free mic.

          YMMV
