This was the cheapest for me according to Energy Made Easy government website. Gift card is a nice bonus.

Bonus gift card terms

New Ampol Energy customers in QLD will receive a one-off $150 AmpolCash digital gift card, by switching their QLD home energy to an Ampol Energy electricity plan. Valid for new sign ups between 7 June - 30 June 2024. Limited to one digital gift card per household. You'll receive the gift card via email by 30 September 2024 if you provide a valid email address during your Ampol Energy sign-up and are still a customer of Ampol Energy.

10¢/L off fuel offer terms

Discount applicable to all fuel grades (excluding LPG and Adblue) at Ampol Foodary and Ampol FuelPay sites only. Not valid at EG sites. Not valid in conjunction with any other Ampol fuel discount offers. A maximum of 1,500L is claimable per year from date of sign up, refreshed on the anniversary of your energy plan sign up date. Payment must be made via the Ampol App. Customers must set up an account in the Ampol app with the same email address used to sign up to Ampol Energy. Discount only redeemable when using FuelPay on the Ampol app, or presenting the QR code in-store from the Ampol app.

      yeah have just moved from Nectr as my 12mths locked pricing ended, then they tried charging me all the additional kwh at the higher rates despite only being on them for 4 days. Best rates I found were with Ovo, customer service has been good to, Nectr's went downhill

          I think AGL is cheaper and has transferred to them !

          Rate is 120.021c/Day and 28.886c/kWh

          I will swap to AGL after few months

              @donga100: Can I please ask you how long it takes for the switch to take place? I think the $1000 QLD government rebate is credited on 1st July. Probably best to wait for that and then switch provider?

  Sign ups on the web site are failing on the last page. I rang and was told to wait at least two hours - they also can't do it over the phone at the moment either.

  Thanks OP. The Ampol rates have not changed since I last checked the market in January 2024. Customer Service confirmed this. But the gift card offer is new (as of today) and is enough for me to switch from Alinta. Customer Service also advised the gift card is "one per household" so if you have another property, you get one gift card for each.

  Have rooftop solar? You'll receive a feed-in tariff from us.

  It's 5c/kWH, quite disappointing and took a bunch of clicks to actually find it.

  Just got an email from Dodo, supply rate is jumping over 40c/day from 1st July!

  Will check back on this one right before EOFY… seems to be the best deal for the moment.

  have to switch from dodo and dont want to be surprised 2 days later when ampol up their rates

    I just wonder whether this new gift card deal will be undermined by a price rise from 1 July….. I might be having second thoughts about this given their prices are not locked in for any period of time.

  I checked their prices against rhe reference price.
  They claim that their plan is 16% off the reference price, but it does not seem correct.
  The Reference price QLD I found (not sure if correct):
  Controlled Load 2 Usage 20 875
  General Usage 33.8875
  Daily Supply Controlled 3.875
  Daily Supply 137.7875

    For general usage it appears to be 24% off the reference price and 13.5% off daily supply. Maybe they just round it off? 😅
