with defender on Windows 10, used to be able to exclude it, but doesn't seem to able to do that anymore, defender would just remove qBittorrent and all its installation files all along, I only see sporadic replies on the internet and never a permanent solution other than using other antivirus or disabling it, I start to wonder are most of the people not getting such warnings at all with defender?

hmm strange, just tried again, download from official website, defender removed it straight away, didn't even quarantine it or show it in protection history, I wonder what have I missed or messed up
Probably means your system is infected with something else …
Re-install windows or get a better anti-virus …

Can you install it if you disable your anti-virus first?
No issues, but not a fan of defender. Much prefer Bitdefender Antivirus Free easier to use…
