        Each to their own. The first Redout is a decent Wipeout clone. I have this sequel on my Steam wishlist… now I don't need to buy it!

        Will probably fire up the Wipeout 2097 soundtrack… thank you Hyper Magazine for supplying the CD with my subscription back in the day.

            Also if you're into emulation, there are a few great romhacks out there, notably Wipeout Pulse FX350 for the PSP.

              @ext23: I have got Wipeout XL running on my laptop using PCXR, but unfortunately the ROM doesn't come with the soundtrack, just sound effects, so no music.

            @serpserpserp: I still have a Bluray and DVD burner on my desktop PC despite not actually using them to burn any discs in years.

            Pioneer and Liteon burners have served me well.

      Totally agree, but this does capture a little bit of that feel. It's got some gimmicks that F-zero didn't, but it's a decent game.

        I've tried Redout 1 and 2 but it doesn't scratch that F-Zero itch

          Nothing does completely :) Running F-Zero X and F-Zero GX on emulators is pretty easy.

    Played about 5 hours of the 1st game right now. Controls are not easy to master at first but very satisfying when you do actually nail the turns perfectly. How does Redout 2 compare?

    This is a great game! I wish it had weapons like Wipeout, but it gets everything else right. Played on PS5.

        It was causing an issue making the game look unsaturated for some players, So they removed it entirely.

      and no VR support compared to the first one. Although I here it works ok with UEVR injector.
