  • How can Zeu Slap?

    • +2

Or perhaps Zeus lap? I'd sit on that 😏

      • Well played.

      • It's only gay if your balls touch

        • +3

My balls are touching all the time. Oh great.

  • I've been seeing a few of your posts, Clear, on portable screens.
I'm looking for something to use with my Raspberry pi 400, but it doesn't have usb-C out for power delivery.
Do you know if USB 3.0 supplies enough power for a portable screen like this one or something lesser?

    • +1

Sometimes you'll get a monitor that needs a bit more oomph for max brightness and I know 5V/1A is sufficient, so 5V/0.9A from a USB 3.0 port should be no issue either.

    • +1

You're asking if your Raspberry Pi 400 can power this monitor via the RPi's USB port? You might be able to do it at low brightness, though bigger monitors like this usually use a bit more juice when the brightness is turned up, so you may have to power it externally via a USB charger.

I know my UPERFECT 17.3" portable monitor draws around 6-7W when the brightness is turned up, so this monitor will likely be similar. For comparison, the popular Bimawen 13" OLED portable monitor draws just over 4W of power at maximum brightness.

Apparently the Raspberry Pi 4 can output a max of 1.2A across all its USB ports combined, so you might just be able to do it, I'd say there's a 50/50 chance:

      • Yea I think this screen in particular is probably a bit of a monster, but maybe something lower spec could do it after all.

  • i can only get to $408.29

    • Woops I had the wrong URL… no wonder. Try now.

      • yep that worked, thanks

Lmao what is that touchscreen video haha

  • Anything with a case/cover closer to the $100au mark? Don't need touch. Thanks mate!

  • how do these compare to the uperfect monitors?

    • Zeuslap and Uperfect are both more premium brands. There's so many models so it depends on which one you're looking at.

    • +1

I own a UPERFECT 4K 17.3" monitor and honestly I don't think it's worth the price premium. Build quality and features are pretty much the same as every other portable monitor, but the OSD menu is kinda crappy and surprisingly low-rent. My Bimawen 13" OLED has a much nicer menu by comparison.

I'd say just ignore the brand names and look at the technical specs of the monitor itself to make your buying decision. Personally I think this particular monitor is not worth it at this price point.

  • anyone has trouble applying the code?

  • Hi, I had trouble applying the second code but first one worked.
    I just ordered this.
I have a 14" 1920x1080 ZSUS but somehow i completely cooked the PD Pass through :( Support were willing to fix or replace but i cbb sending it back so that ones on me and it still functions as an external monitor.
Tip: Don't plug 330W Slimq USB C into the monitor. I will not learn from my lesson and probably attempt it on this model once it comes in.
this one is $140 more than the zsus but comes with:
    Higher Res
    Higher Refresh Rate
    Vesa Mount capable
Hopefully more fool proof PD haha.

Refunded my order after 9 days stating "Sorry, this order has been closed due to shipping problems. You can place the same order again."

No discounts if I try to re-order.

    Can't say I'm too pleased.

    • Same thing happened twice more now.

Just sits in origin country for weeks, then get a refund with minimal explanation as to why it didn't proceed.

Their chat bot-like customer service is beyond useless.

  • Have this now,
dim, not as bright as claimed edit. turning on DCR on the standard profile made it brighter, now acceptable brightness I would guess 200-250
    speakers are bad
    stand takes up desk/mouse space
would be nice if the usb had displaylink built in
    thicker than I thought
    otherwise appears to work well.
