This dropped overnight from $359, making it the cheapest going around for Australian stock. Price matched with Officeworks this afternoon (who still has them for $359), paid $322.99 total.

Terrible value headphones but my partner refuses to leave the Fruit ecosystem and it's her birthday today.

Terrible value? Compared to what? They sound outstanding to me.

    • Well they might be outstanding, but so is their price.

It's a lot of dollars for the comfort and build quality.

Too bad you can't really let anyone else use them, as they're linked to your icloud account. I mean, you can, but it's a mess.

If we compare the price with RTINGS best rated wireless earbuds (WF-1000XM5) @ $399, I think it’s pretty reasonable.

        • Fair, it seems they're all ridiculously priced…

better off waiting for the version with a touch screen 🤣

Seriously though, if you're in the Apple ecosystem these are fantastic. I use them everyday, even just around the house.

    • If you have a smart watch, what's the point of touchscreen on airpods case?

If you don’t have a smart watch.

        • iPod coming back.

My comment was removed because I posted the link. I said that I already bought the fake version of AirPods with the screen case from AliExpress. Search for "airpods with display" or "A9 pro touchscreen"

As someone who has used XM3’s since 2020, I recently got these and I have been insanely impressed at how good the noise cancelation is for a device this small. Also the ability for it automatically switch between devices is so handy. If you are in the ecosystem I highly recommend.

Sad that I haven’t touched my XMs since I bought these last month though 😂

  • These seem a bit expensive at this point. V3 can't be that far off.

  • Good price. I’m waiting for v3 though this late into cycle. My v1 suddenly developed an annoying whistling in one side when going to touch the actual EarPod itself (eg end call or pick up or next track etc). Had a bloody good run though.

    • They got away with a refresh by releasing the USB-C case………

Yeah nah, I sold my V2s for $100 a year ago, considering USB-C but decided, V3 or bust.

But like… doesn’t eBay plus have this for $295 right now?

I am sure most of the Ebay sellers are reliable but I just cannot trust them. With the amount of fakes out there, I need to buy from a store where I can show up and get a refund if they're wrong. And even if they're legit, I am not confident they wouldn't be grey imports.

I would rather spend a little bit more for peace of mind.

Confirming that JB price matched for me. I used JB since I had some gift cards.. use OW for price beat.

Just ordered with Officeworks on their Price Beat for $322.99. Took me 5 minutes over the phone.

  • Are there alternatives that integrates well with Apple Watch? (especially with Siri voice commands)

They sound great, until you get a firmware that nerfs the bass entirely making them sound like $30 buds. Has happened to many people, all bass lost after a firmware update and no amount of troubleshooting fixes it. The only thing that did fix it was a custom audiogram (device EQ basically), however since iOS17.4.1 boosting the bass via the audiogram has been broken and Apple hasn't fixed it. I'd advise to get something else unless you're happy to flip a coin to see if you randomly lose the good sound.

  • I saw these at Costco Docklands for the same price in case anyone prefers Costco over Amazon.

Personally I returned my AirPods Pro after struggling to keep them in my ears despite trying all the YouTube tips and tricks.

Shame though as the sound and seamless handoff between iOS devices was really good.
