This or the Logitech G305 Lightspeed Wireless. Which one is better ?

    • Yeh i know, sad i missed out on the Logitech G305 deal

      • Heard they cancelled most of the order as they over sold

        • Most orders were fulfilled apparently, a portion was cancelled.

Two conflicting reports!!! Someone needs to post on #truthsocial to determine what really happened

        • They didn’t cancel my G305 order, it arrived this morning. It’s a bit cheap looking, I wouldn’t have been happy if I paid RRP for it, however at least it works well, so for $25 I’m happy with it.

what makes the g305 better ?

    • G402 OG

The G305 has a battery that needs recharging once in a while and is wireless only. This one charges via USB and is wired + wireless.

  • Looking for a good MOBA mouse for missus, any recommendations? Is this mouse any good?

    • my missus has tiny hands, and loves the logitech anywhere series.

    • +1

yes it's pretty decent especially for smaller hands.
normally with moba, you'd use more ergonomic comfortable designs and the sensor is not a huge factor.
whereas shooters, it's leaning on more smaller mouse designs and higher grade sensors because the sensitivity, agility and consistency is heavily relied on.

Been using the wired Steel series Prime mouse (full size) for a few years a home work feels good, works well.

Bought for the good switches to avoid dreaded double clicking issues.

  • it said 'mini' so no good for large hands?

    • It's shorter than the non-mini one by 5mm

there is reviews on rtings for both this and g305.
g305 needs an AA and is heavier but has better performance it looks like.
    this probably not bad

  • Anyone know a good mouse pad to go with this?

    Thank you, birthday present sorted

Try again, just said 2 available for me

  • bought this for $25 due to the cancellation of the other mouse, I'd have preferred the g305, but I guess for $25 there's not much else to choose from

    • yeah same lol

      • Bummer, should I cancel my order…. is it that bad lol

I bought this mouse for use on a Mac.

It's brutally light, and worked as soon as I plugged in the receiver.

However, installing the Steelseries Engine software immediately made the mouse stop working - partially the reason is that macOS stops programs that want to "watch" your inputs.

Settings > Privacy & Security > Input Monitoring > allow SteelSeries GG to read inputs.

However, the app didn't start… so I rebooted the computer, and there we were.

Managed to adjust polling rate and CPI from both the mouse itself, and the GG software.

Mucked around with the colours of the scroll wheel and whatnot, and we're all good.

The mouse feels pretty comfortable, and we'll see about battery life I suppose.

Don't know how long it takes to charge from flat.

The SteelSeries GG software has some sort of "high efficiency mode" which'll turn off the lights and reduce the polling rate, which I suppose is nice.

The USB-A -> USB-C cable it come with feels pretty nice.

If you don't have any USB-C Ports for the dongle, you'll have to use a USB-A -> USB-C (data) cable into the provided USB-C -> USB-C connector it comes with to plug in the dongle… Haven't tried with my own C-C cable between the extender and the mouse, but that'll save you an extra port for charging I guess.

Woulnd't have actually minded a bit more weight and a replaceable AA battery for battery life, but I'm pretty happy.

Looking forward to the buttons never breaking because of, you know, magnets and stuff.
