      QLD liquor laws mean you can’t buy alcohol through supermarkets, nor can they have liquor stores “attached” to the supermarkets like in VIC

      Aldi can’t even sell alcohol in a seperate store in QLD, because Aldi’s head office would technically be the licensee

    I'm from WA and successfully ordered this deal via Coles Belmont, no issues at all. I think the trick is to pick a store with a Liquorland next to it (but ordering is entirely in the regular Coles app and can add groceries like normal. Pick up is also from Coles itself). OP might want to change the wording about 'not available in WA'. Thanks

      The deal description says nothing about this deal being “not available in WA”.

      The deal description says that Coles Online does not sell alcohol in northern WA, and this is taken directly from the Coles website.

      Last time I checked, Coles Belmont Forum is located in Perth, and is not located in northern WA.

        I stand corrected, can we have WA metro in subject line (not having WA there is misleading, 99% of WA orders will be from rest of WA with just 1% being North WA).

      You can order through website or app. The trick is finding a store that has liquor available add not all with a Liquorland attached or right near it do. And there is no site to help you.

      Yes, I had the same issue last time. I think it's just a hit and miss depending whether the store has stock. Even if you're able to order it doesn't guarantee. I know, it sucks, a failure on Coles part. Even after contacting customer service last time they had this deal (CHEERS20), they weren't able to help

      i have never had a successful liquor purchase at cole’s though my local cole’s on these deals , my local cole’s has liquorland inside the supermarket, usually ends up cancelled, though orders via liquorland site work fine , not sure if it’s something where the system eventually figures out might be junior under 18 person handling liquor so cancels ?

      Same here, I organised my day to fit the pick up time slot, then got the cancellation message a few minutes into my pick up window. Luckily I did not have to drive far.

      Followed their instruction and contacted them after a long wait in the queue, they can't provide any explanation other than an apology, it sometimes happen response…. Wasted so much of my time trying to save a few bucks. Won't bother with Coles online shopping again. I will just buy online booze from Dan Murphys and the like who were 100% reliable for me in the past.
