wow! I paid $165 last year. I barely use it as it is too heavy. I think it's always good to warn people about it.

    • How heavy?

      • The website says 281g. I think one's head shape also influences it. My head shape is more like a V, and the headphones is like a U, which means it concentrates the weight at the top of my head, which causes headaches after some minutes. I tried to get around this problem, but no solution so far.

        • I have a massive U shaped head, they need to be fully extended to fit, I find them comfortable for 8 hours+ usage…

        • Thanks for the reply. I have a gaming headest the G733 which I can wear for hours but it's quite light, so not sure how this will compare.

        • +1

I think one's head shape also influences it.

What if your head was shaped like this?

        • I heard baldies also struggle because the padding is in the middle so the plastic sides sit on their head.

I looked up the Q35 which is noticeably lighter at 272g and was surprised 9g makes such a difference. More websites put the Q45 at 295g

  • I have these headphones, I really like them, I paid ~$150 about a year ago and I think they are great, even worth the RRP.
They sound like muddy garbage out of the box with the default EQ, but they can be EQ'd quite decently.
Noise cancelling is very good, I use them whenever I commute on public transport, drowns out most of the annoying noises.
The mic quality is also great, I use them as my headset at work for all calls.
Battery life is also really good, you can't go wrong at this price.
They aren't super HiFi Audiophile quality, but that's not what they are for, they are for using when you're outside or in noisy environments and still want very decent quality sound.

    • I agree with all your points, but my mic cuts out mid call. I'm going to have to arrange a return (they're only a few weeks old)

      • Thankfully my mic has been solid. Hopefully you got them from Anker/Soundcore direct!

  • I got the Q30s for $90 a few weeks ago and they are awesome. These are apparently even better

  • We had two pairs of these.
Mine and wifes both heaadband plastic cracked and became unusable.
    Amazon refunded us, thank god.
There's reports of it plenty on reddit. From what I read, its been happening with other Soundcore models as well.
Not sure if it was a bad batch or if its still an issue.

Reddit links to Soundcore headphones plastic cracking reports:

    • I was aware of the issue with the Q30 headband cracking I don't think that old one folds. but didn't know Q45 having issues too.

I assume you mean the folding part that you can see in this picture https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/0WgAAOSwcN9ll1cd/s-l1600.jpg

I've also seen a number of posts on reddit mentioning the same area breaking on the XM4's. XM5's don't fold but for some reason a few also break in the same general area. that spot needs to be tough I guess.

  • $169.99 1 year and 1 month ago. Been great for work commute and for long plane flights. At this price I'd certainly recommend them. Highly regarded by many headphone youtubers (of course you need to take with a grain of salt ) :P

    • does it lag or stutter if used on Windows ?

  • Shame it's a eBay plus only deal @Wireless1

  • Thanks… bought to compare with Bose SE45 deal from JB hifi

  • They're great but get cups get sweaty when used for prolonged period.

  • Thanks, grabbed a pair At this price its a no brainer

  • i see final price as 122.40. Any idea what im doing wrong?
