God damnittttttttttttttt! Fineeeeeeeeeeee I'll buy one

    • Is it now or later I can try to convince you to save your sanity and upgrade to a Bambu instead?

      I kid I kid.

      • Why do you hate me? I stupidly waltzed into JayCar today to just have a gander at the SE and the dude tried to upsell me to the KE, now I'm here on OzBargain looking at the CoreXZ and K1C wondering maybe I should just spend a little more. Then there was the filament deals earlier today almost had me buying before I even have the printer!

In all honestly as long as it can print something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=le-ucwUBw5E the lil one will be a happy camper and we will go from there

I have the cr6se for my first printer
and it printed one of those similar if not identical for a gift. Printed great in creality black pla. Would be a piece of cake for any of these models in the OP assuming you build the printer, slice model, adjust, check, recheck, re adjust, check, readjust, watch YouTube 69 hours to diagnose issue, then print, fail, check and adjust and THEN print it successfully.

          I kid I kid.

I’m sure it will be fine… at least for the first 8-10 prints.

            Yeh fark.

I have been watching many a video and…goodbye spare time.

@MBix: I got the SE recently, and you'll have no issue printing those dragons in PLA.

For $230, it's a great price, only beat by the short moment it was available with the extra 25% off deal.

Two friends picked it up as their first printers and are getting great results.

I've gone ahead and set mine up with Klipper.

Orca slicer has good presets built-in too so you won't have much tuning to do to get some great prints.

              • @impoze: Is the KE a worthwhile upgrade in your opinion? The Jaycar rep was harping on about the filament runout sensor. Since sometimes it’ll be the missus printing with the lil one while I’m away for work I’m thinking the extra features may be helpful

                • @MBix: it's a decent upgrade which probably adds up to more than the $100 difference including time & convenience

                  • faster speeds
                  • XY linear rails
                  • bigger screen
                  • Wifi/lan monitoring
                  • bimetal heatbreak
                  • filament run out sensor (around $15 AUD) but then you have to install ilt.

                  https://store.creality.com/blog/ender-3-v3-se-vs-ke

Whichever model you go for, order a PEI bed - around $15, much better & easier to release prints.

                  • @impoze: KE comes with PEI bed too looks like.

                    • @Nalar: ah right, they just look the same

                      KE = PEI plate
                      SE = PC plate

  • Damn. What a price for the KE!

    • decent upgrades from the SE for the extra $100

  • SE is $250 again at Jaycar if you want instore piece of mind.

    • it went back to $249 as soon as the extra 25% promo ended.

  • I normally rave about the Creality Ender 3 V3 SE
printer that I've had for 6 months now but today has been a frustrating day with my printer. So I'll come back another day.

all printers will need some tune up at some point.

      What was the print fail?

      • One adhesion issue, then tree supports failed (but not from the base).

      • Any manufacturing process needs tuning and maintenance.
People here like to pretend Enders can't print more than a small cube before falling apart and Bambu prints without touching it until the end of time, but if you look closer, neither are true.

  • It's a good deal, cheaper than the $278 I paid 4 months ago.
    but…..
when looking at it, I was led to https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/235496329076 which is $596 down to $417 for an anycubic kobra 2 plus.
I'd been looking for a bigger faster printer…. sniffing creality K1max/ Qidi tech X max 3/ sovol 8 sort of thing…. but at much less than half the price this big fast bed slinger looked good.

Reviews look generally pretty good for an assemble yourself biggish 320x320x400 bedslinger with proprietary version of clipper, auto bed levelling and Z offset, touch screen, double gear direct extruder. I didn't resist the pull of the dark side to a big slinger.

(but I did resist the giant kobra 2 max @ 420x420x500… a lot of size to be klipper slinging around…bed might fly off and decapitate the dog! but at $529 after codes it could be wunnerful for someone wishing to print some giant 88L helmets ….as robert palmer said, simply irresistible for that)

  • Seller excepts offers, would be worth a try getting 20/25% off an offered price to make it a bit cheaper

    • In your experience do you know if you can a code then apply to that the offered price or we should offer a price with the discount already factored in?

      • +1

Offer a price without factoring in the code. If successful, enter the discount code during checkout

    • I have tried, they only counteroffer $10 off.

  • Damnit, ordered from Creality direct last week for $250 :(

    • +2

Contacted Creality and they refunded the difference before the printer has even arrived. Pretty good service!

  • Just finished a 5-6 hour Squirtle on the SE, planning to prime, sand & let the kids paint them

    Front
    Back
    Side

    • How big?

    • got any after sanding images / after painted?
