I think its only once per customer. Not able to redeem even if a new card is being used.

  • +6

I have claimed it before and I was able to just claim it again.

    • Awesome. I wonder if there's a time frame in between claiming.
Can I please ask how long ago was your last claim? Is this the same bank?

      • Sorry, cant remember the exact dates but it was probably a year ago.

  • +1

    Thanks

  • +3

Amazing. Worked for me. I got a $15 credit. Thank you!

    • Great :)

  • +15

“Sorry, you have exceeded the maximum quantity of 1 allowed for this product“

    • Sorry to hear. Just wondering if you have claimed before

      • Yeah, I have. Thought I’d give it another go. No luck :(

    • you are not alone

      • I am here with you

        • +1

          Though you’re far away

    • Same, can’t remember if I claimed it before but must have I gusss

  • +1

    Got it thank you!

  • +1

    Thanks

  • +4

    Something went wrong

  • +5

Note: you may not be able to claim this if you have never claimed this before. Because it's a glitchy mofo and never worked for heaps of us

  • Something went wrong…

  • +2

    Woo, free money!

  • Tried and said "Something Went Wrong"
and when I tried another debit card, it went validated but once reached Amazon, it says the account is not eligible and my Windows 11 forced me to create Passkey (Windows Hello)

    • Wow, that's not good

  • +1

    Thanks Op!

  • +1

Worked for me too! Thank you!

  • Not eligible never redeem 😕

    • Perhaps try again later. Could be a glitch

      • +2

An unexpected error has occurred. Please try again later. If this continues, please reach out to us via the "Contact Us" details at the bottom of this page

        New error now 🥲

        • +1

Yeah i am getting this as well..maybe its being ozb'd

        • Same. Tried Chrome, Incognito Chrome and Firefox, all with the same error.

        • Getting that also

  • Can never redeem these

  • +1

I get this when trying to claim with my Dad's eligible card (mine is ineligible):

    Activation failed
This account is not eligible for this offer

I considered creating a new account but I don't need 3 months of Prime. I have added the card as a payment method on the account.

  • commbank when ?

    • +1

Commbank already done that while ago.

  • +1

Worked for my westpac debit card cheers

  • “Sorry, you have exceeded the maximum quantity of 1 allowed for this product“

Claimed 1 Westpac, 1 Commbank, 1 bin dump for Citi when it was allowed.

  • Just to clarify, that I wouldn't be eligible if I've had a free 30 day trial before?

    • This offer is separate to the free 30 day trial from Amazon so you would be eligible.
However the website appears to be glitching at the moment if you are having problems.
      You can try another day

  • Sorry, you have exceeded the maximum quantity of 1 allowed for this product

  • +1

    Worked for me. Thanks.

  • +9

Sorry, you have exceeded the maximum quantity of 1 allowed for this product

This error is if you use an email address that has already claimed. Just use another.

It seems that the card details you entered have already been used to claim an Amazon Prime membership.

This error is if you've already used the card to claim before.

    • Ahh, providing a different email address passed the eligibility test, but then when I sign in using my actual email address it failed.

I'd need to create another amazon account, and I'm ceebs.

  • I need to change banks.

NAB recently launched a similar reward program and what are they offering? $10 cashback on $80 at booktopia (wtf), $5 cashback for nespresso, $5 cashback for star car wash.

    • you don't have to force yourself to change banks. you can just open an account with every single bank and use them when their promotions are good

      • +2

Unless you’re a credit card whore, like myself.
Must ensure I’m always a new customer for those bonus points.

      • They make you jump through hoops to avoid paying a monthly fee though… I cbf with that.

  • Oh so close.
    Thought I got it… again.
My first card had already been claimed, my other Mcard said it was all good… right up until i signed into Amazon and it said i wasn't eligible. 😭

  • +1

    Got $15 Thanks

  • Sorry, you have exceeded the maximum quantity of 1 allowed for this product

Pretty much seems like can only be availed once per card

  • +1

Thanks so much! Got 3 months prime membership.

  • +2

claim once per card it seems, tried with new card and normal email and wouldn't go through. tried new card with different email, no problems. Seems like it can't be the same email address even if it's a diff card

    • +1

So if I do a different email does that allow me to apply it to my existing amazon account under the previously used email address… or do I have to make a new amazon account with the new email (which would make it pointless as I am a prime subscriber)?

      • Can always give it a go, I can't remember which account I used for prime, but I reckon it would be fine. I cancelled prime before I did the offer as it's worth more money wise

  • Currently on a free trial and tried redeeming. This is what it says:

"You are currently on a Prime free trial. Continue with activation?

After activation, your Prime free trial will end and your Prime membership will be managed by Mastercard."

Does this mean I forfeit the remaining days of my free trial?

    • It does sound like your remaining days will be forfeited so it's probably best to wait till your free trial expires. Someone asked this question previously in an old post but no one answered.

  • Have claimed before: Sorry, you have exceeded the maximum quantity of 1 allowed for this product

  • +1

I have done this twice, 12 months apart. Most recent was Jan this year so not sure if it will work right now. Given valid until Aug will wait until end of July and test 6 month gap.

  • These ones never work for me. 'something went wrong an error has occurred'

  • +2

Another benefit I realised, Prime day should be sometime near June end, the free prime membership will come mighty handy :-)

  • +3

    Tried a couple times:

    Something went wrong
An unexpected error has occurred. Please try again later. If this continues, please reach out to us via the "Contact Us" details at the bottom of this page.

  • +1

    Worked for me. Thanks

  • +1

    Something went wrong…!

  • +1

    Something went wrong 😮‍💨

  • +1

Worked for me after a few “something went wrong”s by changing from safari to chrome on my phone.

I’ve previously used this deal with another non Westpac mastercard (probably over 12 months ago). Used a different email address on the eligibility form, but signed in using my normal amazon account with my primary email. Hope this helps others.

    • Thanks for the tips

  • tried with CBA card :

We unsuccessfully attempted to validate your account status with your card issuing bank. If you believe this was an error, please contact your bank for more details. To assist the bank's review, please inform them that this validation attempt was for a Mastercard Benefits program.

  • Does the card you are using need to be linked to the Amazon account for this to work?

Keep getting the something went wrong error as well

    • The Westpac card has to be linked for the entire 3 months. You can link another (non-Westpac) card and pay using that card or gift cards.

Some people are getting the something went wrong error. Sounds like a glitch and previous posts mentioned the same.

      • sorry I may have not provided clear context. Does the Mastercard need to be linked to the Amazon account prior to entering it into the promo page for the qualification check?

        • Don't think so as I didn't

        • Not for me, I added my Westpac card during this process when they asked for it to be added

  • Not working, says something went wrong.

  • +1

Thanks! Worked without issue on my Westpac Platinum credit card.

  • +2

This worked on my Westpac everyday saver account - at first I just added the card to Amazon… I wasn't aware I had to click thru to Go to Deal and enter my card details on MasterCard's website… how do you find these things… :)

  • -1

So hypothetically if I lost my Westpac debit card and I ask for a new one with new card details once every 3 months, I would have free Amazon Prime for life?

  • I am reluctant to enter card name, card number with expiry date on that form. They should have build a better way of verifying eligible cards. May be getting only last 4 numbers or something. In the day of many major companies being hacked and scammers trying to rip off everyone everyday, we all should be extra careful how they use their personal and financial details online.

  • +3

If you're getting a "something went wrong contact us" error try switching browsers

I was using firefox and getting the error then switched to chrome and instantly worked :)

  • -4

Scared I'm gonna accidentally sign up to a credit card if I do this lol so I'm gonna pass

    • +1

      Uhh.. wtf?

      • Username checks out

  • Worked for me with just the Debit card, on Safari.

  • I've never tried and got this:

    Activation failed

This account is not eligible for this offer

    • It can be glitchy. Maybe try this: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/15341501/redir

      • Trying it on Firefox, but getting another error. lol

        • Lol probably try a different device if you have access

    • had the exact same issue. contacted support who had no idea, but long story short they cancelled my current subscription with pro-rata refund, then once account became inactive it worked. Not sure whether it makes a difference if you cancel via support or through your account. hope it helps.

  • +1

Tried for a few days and finally got through with one card after a lot of Something went wrong errors.

My other Westpac card already redeemed back in April 2023 and September 2023 according to my email and the website.

    • Great to hear. I'm assuming you managed to link to the same Amazon account.

      • +1

I'll link it later when I need it for Prime purchases.

Most likely will use it on one of my many dormant accounts.

  • +1

3 months Prime worked for me, never claimed before… Thanks trixieb!

  • No option to choose gift card despite being prime member, so got 3 month extension.
