  • Personally dont like the shape of these ones cause they keep on falling from my ears lobes

    • +13

Complete opposite here, Jabra are the most comfortable for my ear. Air pods will not stay in my ear unless I sit still.

    • Wait you mean ear canal? or do these clip on to your lobes?

  • +9

I have Jabra Elite 7 Active and love them. Great sound, decent ANC, waterproof, clicky mechanical button on each earbud (no gestures). I even dropped the case in the garage and my wife ran over it with her car, but it survived and everything still works 100% (wouldn't recommend trying that though).

    • +2

I like them too except the fact in the last few months the left earbud drains from 90 to sub 40 in a one hour commute. No amount of firmware resets or case resets will resolve it.

    • I just raised a return request to Amazon for my Elite Pro 7. Too many complaints that I can't be heard on calls.

going to try the Elite 10's, see if they're better. No issues with my old Elite 75t

  • +1

Sub 200 for the elite 10 with EB+…. nice.

  • -2

Jabras are actually trash - had the 3, elite 7 and they both stopped working on one ear - cant reset, cant charge and out of warranty
buy cheaper JBL - at $30 - they work better

    • +1

That's some bad luck. I've owned the 65t, 75t, Elite 3 and Elite 7 (current daily driver) and they've all been excellent.

      • yeah I had 65ts and they were fine, nothing but issues with new ones, Had issues connecting to my Garmin watch as well
I wont buy them again, JBL's have been easier to use, fit better and massively cheaper ,maybe the sound is not as good but for gym and a run its more then ok

    • +1

To be honest I don't think you fully deserve the negs here. I love Jabra because they fit will and they're simple, but I've had a lot of their sets die on me. I had two sets of Elite 65t that died in under 1.5 years each.

My original Elite 3s broke the first week (warranty service replaced them obviously). The replaced pair broke (right bud dead) in under 9 months of daily use. My current set of Elite 4 Actives are still fine, but…Jabra stuff totally breaks eventually with heavy daily use and if they do a year and a half for $90….I don't have a huge beef with that in terms of value (I mean that's clear as I keep buying them).

  • Any recommendations from the 8 vs 10 for work Teams calls?

    • Buy 10 as they are newer technology, both have 6 mics (2 for NC and 4 for voice). I have elite 5’s which comes with 6 mics (2 for NC) and they are great for teams/webex calls. I am using them since 18+ months! Solid pair of ear buds.

I may buy 10’s as well when the price comes down even further before the end of this financial year.

  • Whats the elite 4 like for teams calls? I own the older Jabra Elite 75t which I generally keep in my gym bag, but I do find them good for teams calls. Wouldn't mind a 2nd pair purely for work if the elite 4 are decent enough for this

  • +1

I like the Jabra as they are one of the few brands that allows dual bluetooth connections - you can connect a laptop and a phone or two phones and it will automatically switch between the devices.

I can't find other brands that have this functionality.

Also, the call audio quality is OK - not the best or the worst.

    • Apple does this.

      • only for apple products or for all devices?

        • The Bose QC45s I'm wearing do it when I switch between TV popup video and phone popup video

  • How do sound quality for music and ANC for Jabra 10 compare to Bose quietcomfort ultra earbuds?
I’ve never used a premium earbud however looking to upgrade now. Mainly for gym sessions and travel to work. I like a little bass heavy but clean and balanced sound (use Sonos at home)
    TIA

  • +1

My wife uses a pair of Jabra Elite 7 Pros for work. While they are pretty good for video calls, they are quite underwhelming for music, there's no bass. I, on the other hand, use a pair of JBL Tube Buds for music, which are currently on sale for $119, and find them much better for general (non-video conferencing) use, and there is plenty of deep bass.

  • The best value is probably the 4s; though in my experience it's better to get the Active variant which is not on sale here. The Elite 4 Actives are the only set I've had from the company that haven't croaked on me within the first 1.5 years (fingers crossed).

  • Is it me or have TGG disabled all the C&C locations? as it shows as all out of stock in Melbourne, but on the TGG website it shows that they all have stock.

    • +2

If you don't want to wait for postage or can't get the click and collect working (I couldn't either). I found that TGG have a small link of price beat where it's advertised on their website for 220. Went to OW and got the 5% price beat down to 209. $2 more than eBay with the coupon and postage but get it immediately.

      • +1

haha. I gave in and managed to get it for AU $191.25 (+$5 post) and then used 4% off eBay gift cards to bring the total down to $188.40 for the Jabra Elite 10.

        • Nice… I ended up with a 15% off coupon from ebay cos it was sitting in my cart but already bought… Oh well :(

      • Could you link me this?

      • Found it but does OW usually price beat another place price beat?

        • +1

Its not really a price beat… Just ttg matching a price they already know is lower but don't actively advertise because most people won't notice to click on the price beat button

  • Looks like there should be more price drops in the future as it seems Janda is now leaving the consumer headphones business.

    https://www.applianceretailer.com.au/jabra-to-wind-down-cons…

    • Damn, their earphones are one of the best for calls on the go. Not many True Wireless Buds have mute/unmute buttons on their buds…. which is a game changer doing calls / meetings on the go.

      • It's a shame, I'm a fan. I already have a pair of working Elite 7s (so damn comfortable) and Elite 3s, but if I see the Elite 10s at some clearance price in the future I'll probably grab a pair to stash away for the future.

  • hm… seems like they just released jabra elite 10 gen 2. not sure when this will available in australia

    • True, but I wonder how much more expensive it will be though. Doubt they will do a "fire sale" but more a "once sold out then sold out" sort of model. As they are going to continue to "support" it for the next few years. Where as fire sales are usually when they want to stop support straight away.

Seems like the only difference between Elite 10 G1 vs G2 is the charging case….. haha doing a Apple on customers to squeeze a little more out.

      • True upgraded case and apparently upgraded anc. I went for these anyway cause I can't wait any longer lol

        • +1

Supposely BT LE will come to Elite 10 G1s, but much later this year, in Q4 2024.

          • +1

@lplau: Also did some further Investigaton….. appears that even the Elite 10 G2s the earbuds themselves don't support BT LE out of box. And no support yet.

PCmag review: "Streaming from the charging case gives you access to the LC3 codec as part of the LE Audio package, though the earbuds do not support that codec by themselves."

  • I just received mine but it was titanium black. I wanted the matte black and was disappointed that the ad never stated this detail and the picture also didn't show titanium black
