I did the same thing, bought a Charge 5 for my parents for Christmas then got jealous and bought an Xtreme 3 myself. It was on an epic sale too, about $190 IIRC.
I can attest to this comment, I've bought 1 as a gift for a friend and ended up buying one for myself aswell because it performs well for what it costs
Great speaker. I have a price alert for it as I lost my old Charge 2 which was still going strong.
I ended up getting the Anker Soundcore Motion+ for $99 which I like except for it's a bit more directional than the JBL
This model is currently my daily driver for podcasts, music, ambiance, etc.
Excellent price for a superior stereo Bluetooth speaker, the inbuilt tweeter + dual subs really packs a punch.
$137 on GG commercial.

I've got two of these. The only thing I don't like is I need to press the button on both speakers every time I turn them on to link them (why don't they default to the last setting?) and also when linked the volume buttons only still control that one speaker.
lot of good deal votes because it's a good product but I swear the last 3 times I randomly checked it was $159.
yeah on 3xcamels I think I counted a total of 8 times it dropped to $159 in the last year.
OP not claiming ATL so that's fine I guess, but a lot of votes.
red color is also $159 so might as well grab that instead of standard black.
This is a great price for anyone looking to buy this model. Usually $199.
Mates at work have this in the workshop, and they often pair theirs together for stereo sound across the workshop, wow punches above its weight performance wise. Because of that I went the next level up and bought the Extreme version, yes it's more expensive but my god it's epic. I've been using it in an old car with a standard radio/cd for ICE, and it has been great.
if you're in the market for one, don't go past this one.
