    Been reading some reviews as I’m in the market for a portable speaker. Seems this has better sound but the charge 5 is has a longer battery life. Hard to know without owning either

    completely different outside design.

    JBL charge 5 has mostly fabric exterior, doesn't show scratches and proper IP67 rating with better protection including from dust.

    X600 has mostly hard plastic exterior, I think the grill might be thin metal but feedback says it gets scratched up real easily.

    if you are going to take it with you outdoors and stuff JBL is better. but if you just keep it inside the house you can consider the X600.

  Craps all over my old soundlink mini (RIP), it's not even comparable. Seriously underrated portable speaker. Best bang for buck.
