Creative Aurvana Ace $139.95, Aurvana Ace 2 (bonus MUVO Play) $214.95 Delivered @ Creative Labs Australia

30

Aurvana Ace at a deep discount, and the Aurvana Ace 2 at a more modest discount but with a free bluetooth speaker. Both qualify for free delivery.

These represent the first affordable xMEMS-based TWS IEMs, achieved in a dual driver configuration (dynamic driver for the bass), both having ANC and supporting Bluetooth LE Audio and thus LC3 codec (albeit not LC3Plus), as well as aptX Adaptive, aptX, AAC & SBC, while having IPX5 for sweat/spray resistance.

The Ace 2 separates itself with with support for aptX lossless (16-bit 44.1kHz) and its ANC being more granular (Qualcomm Adaptive). Both gets 4 hours per charge with ANC (6 without) and 16 total in combination with the case (24 without ANC).

xMEMS tech will be kicking off even further in 2025 with a single driver ANC solution via xMEMS Cypress, but if you're audio quality focused and/or an Android user looking for some solid ANC alongside, these are pretty easy buys for the now.

  • I owned the Ace 2, they were crap and in the end they died. RMA process was good though.

    • Have you considered the possibility that your item was faulty from the start? You couldn't have owned a pair for more than 5 months.

      • Worked fine for a few months, I wouldn't recommend it over Samsung Buds Pro. Then for some reason it kept doing some weird stuff.

        • Did your assessment of the sound signature match reviews? Did your assessment of the sound quality match? Was the sound quality better than the Buds Pro?

How were you connecting them to your device? What weird stuff, are you referring to how it would sync, the touch controls? Did you ever update the firmware?

It's possible your set had issues from the start that you dismissed as normal, then it died, but you could be right too. You're just providing so little information that it's utterly impossible for an outside observer to discern. Most reviews say to EQ the bass a little and you get amazing value.

I appreciate the want to offer insight, but anyone reading this is going to be wanting a little more than what you've provided so far.

@jasswolf: Yes, I did everything to make it work again, nothing worked. Every time you'd connect to a device and I tried multiple it'll keep saying switching to LE audio, like every 10 seconds. Then it wouldn't connect to my phone again.

If all you're after is output sound quality then it's better than Buds Pro. But if you want anything else then Samsung rips it apart. This includes things like reliability, software, etc. Noise cancellation + wind = makes weird noises on the Aurvana Ace 2. Mic is not good.

If you just use it in your home in a quiet place to listen to music on a connected to a single device I'm all for it when they work.

Most reviewers only look at it from a single device, hours/days of use review. I've used them on multiple devices, for months.

            • @Pikaloo: Ah yup, so LE Audio issues, not uncommon at the moment as the Android implementation still isn't up to scratch. Thank you for clarifying!

              • @jasswolf: I wasn't using LE Audio, I was using Aptx Adaptive or w.e Aptx, but it kept saying LE audio disconnected like every 10 seconds, no fix for it. Regardless of what codec you use it'll just say LE audio disconnected every 10 seconds whilst your music/audio kept playing.
