      Forget where you stored the other 29 and then purchase more in a month's time! These are like cable ties and plumbers tape for me, just have them everywhere.

      It appears the quality of Nitto electrical tape isn’t what it used to be unfortunately.

      I ended up chucking out the remaining ones I had recently and going with another brand I was that disappointed with them. They weren't old rolls either, nor were they kept in the heat.

      I got them from Jaycar…..maybe it was old store stock..

      Such a shame - they were my go to tape.

      IMHO best is 3M Scotch Super 33+ vinyl tape, come in 2 rolls 19mmx20m for around $30. Not cheap but lasts many years outdoor in summer and snow. Read the Google reviews on it.

    Is electrical tape good for anything besides purely electrical work?

    Seems to turn into a slimy, gummy mess with the first hint of warmer temperatures. I've been using duct or gaffa tape for general repairs for decades.

    lifetime's supply and electrical tape don't go well together. They all turn to sticky mush after being stored, except maybe Nitto.

      I read that one should store it in the fridge to prevent that happening. I currently have some in the beer fridge on a long test of this theory, albeit Nitto tape…

    If you want tape that lasts, it is worth paying a bit more for Nitto. Though I see Bunnings does not sell it any more.
