If you want a cheap stainless steel quartz diver under $50 I recommend this deal -

Addiesdive 40mm Quartz Dive Watch US$28.92 (~A$43.40) Delivered

    • Can you recommend a simple digital LED watch for snorkeling? This one fits the bill but I don’t need all the features. I just need to know the time so I can move my car!

    • +1

Legend, thank you. Just got this as needed a watch like this

  • @WatchNerd What are your thoughts on the expedition scout?

    • I've never owned one, more of a dive watch fan.

      • Hey there, just wondering as my Timex order just came in but not nicely packed, do these watches ever come with any plastic sticker covering the watch face that u can peel off ?

The condition it comes presented in seem to be a hit and miss for me, as this order only came in a paper box and broken plastic stand :(

        • +2

Yes mine did have a plastic iirc. Been a while.

If you’re not happy just do a return and re-roll

Idk fwiw I chucked my box in first 2 seconds anyway… and I mean you’re gonna wear it sooo

Timex are great watches with lots of heritage and are very reliable, and the designs on their field watches are excellent IMO. If you get one with Indiglo it will light up an entire room at night (it's really that good!). However…they are noisy. If you (or a significant other) are easily annoyed by ticking then don't have it on the nightstand - stick it in a cupboard or a drawer. Otherwise, I highly recommend them.

      • Thanks… I think they look cool… I’ve heard the mechanism is loud, that would annoy me at night so I’d have to put it in a drawer.

It’s a shame they’re expensive (for what they are) in Australia… Is it reliable (e.g., hasn’t broken, works as it should)

  • 1 left!

  • 165feet WR is not Expedition at all.

  • Why does the Timex expedition scout refuse to go on sale in Aus (white dial). In the US it's much cheaper than here and goes on sale often :/

Love my Casio royale, have had the copper bezel one for a couple of years.

It's my weekend watch and when I go travelling interstate or overseas

  • I wish you could flip the date on these. I just don’t think I would get used to it.

  • Keeping an eye out for DW5600E-1V 🤣

  • Shall I upgrade my Skmei royale?

    • Which one do you have? They keep popping up on my Ali Express recommendations lately at very cheap prices. I’m curious if it uses the same size module that would fit into mod cases.

I read that as Casino Royale
